Story 1: The King's Service
It started out slow but built to a deep and satisfying finish. A story of the Thirty Years' War and two Scottish children who are in Germany during the time of Gustavas Adolphus. 4 stars.
Story 2: Cross and Crown
This one was my favorite, partly because French Huguenots have long been a favorite subject of mine, but also because the action builds carefully to a satisfying conclusion and the characters are very engaging. 5 stars.
