The Loves of the Lady Arabella

This was hardly what I expected. The focus is often on the youthful narrator rather than the title character, but I enjoyed hearing of him so much that I forgave the discrepancy between the title's implications and actualities. The characters are very strongly drawn and believable, and you find yourself caring very quickly what becomes of all of them.
