The thing that I really love about Reacher is how one small thing will set him off on some crazy journey. Here it was a ring in a pawn shop. An entire, enjoyable book starts with a glimpse at a ring.

I also loved his nicknames here. Bigfoot and the Hulk? Totally accurate.
