The Secret House

An interesting mystery involving a mechanical house, powered by its own electrical generator and with entire rooms that can move to other places. The house really only plays a large part in the second half of the book; for the first half, it's mostly about blackmail and a man who wants to utterly control the lives of others. The villain is very creepy and hard to figure out!
