i just finished this and i'm crying, it's not completely about the book, but that last chapter made me really emotional. this was so great, it terrified me, it made me cry, and i couldn't stop thinking about it. the mystery, the characters, everything. i don't even know how to explain how fantastic this experience was.
i wish we could've gotten a bit more depth about all the other characters (especially the ones involved in the murder 25 years before), but i don't think the book would've worked as well as it did if we had. it really was the right amount of information for everything to slot together so nicely, but man. i wanted to see more of them
