Under The Greek's Protection

This was a really good read. I actually started with this book because it was the one my best friend recommended from this author not really realizing or thinking to ask if I should start with book 1. THIS IS NOT A STANDALONE. Start with book 1. I will go back now and read book one and three in the next few days or so.

I loved the found family aspect the most in this book. It was needed and so well received. When you go from 0 people in your corner and due to life circumstances end up with 20 people who love you and will lay their lives down for you— well let's just say that it did my heart good to be in this world to witness it. I also loved the open and honest communication. Most mafia romances that I've read keep the significant other in the dark about absolutely everything until something goes left and then they are forced to confess. At any rate. I think this was a great introduction to this author and I look forward to reading their back list.

P.S. I was laughing a bit too hard and cheesing the entire time–I had Alexa read the book to me and I'm sure I was inappropriately laughing at times.

P.S.P.S. I know people were punching the air at the whole “Giordanos is the best pizza” in Chicago bit. I wasn't one of them. LOL
