I am a bit disappointed, because the book focuses on Anglo-Saxon traditions with hardly any mention of the Christmas customs observed in other countries. That's a pity.
I'm not a big fan of Tana French's Murder Squad series, but I liked this book. It's well written and well paced and not obvious. Somehow, it brings to mind Stephen King's Hodges trilogy - the plots have nothing in common, but it's just as good.
I would have probably given it 4 stars, if I had not started reading “The Sheltering Sky” which is blowing my mind now. It's not a bad book, just don't read a masterpiece right after it.
Miałam przeczytać tylko pierwszy tom, żeby zrobić przyjemność synowi. Zanim się obejrzałam, przeczytałam wszystkie cztery i teraz będę tęsknić za bohaterami:(
