If there is such a thing as a cozy zombie series this is it. Love, action, murder, mayhem and hot zombie lovin'. Enjoy.

Oh the irony. I am not an atheist.; however all you have to do is use search and find atheist then replace it with conservative evangelical and you have the same limp arguments that the author presents about atheism. TWOT - Total Waste of Time.

I couldn't decide whether to give this book 0 or 5 stars, but if you are paying attention the innards of the book are pretty amazing.

I'd love to hang with this guy!

I'm enjoying reading books in translation. This book expanded my horizons by telling the story of Bronze and Sunflower during the cultural revolution in China. On the surface it is a happy, childhood story. If you peel back one layer, you find a darker world of enforced labor, hunger, and childhood beatings.

I didn't care for the ending. It felt inevitable but it lost some of it's wonder for me.

does not work well in Audio form.

Raw, gritty, delightful. This is what a story should be and Wendig is an amazing writer.

Masculine poetry with the occasional sensitive side. Addresses topics that resonates with guys. I had a chance to do some poetic interpretation at a semi-slam (no battles) and after finding Mr. Webb's book I chose two poems. “Superman Old” which is kind of self explanatory and “Big” the saga of a TV screen that was, well just too big. The folks I performed for loved them. Thanks Mr. Webb for a great collection of excellent poetry.

Maybe not a fair comparison but having just read “Field Peas to Foie Gras” Field Peas has more depth, complexity, and interest.

Great book! It is a bit confusing at the beginning but once it got started, WOW. It is funny, tightly written, and you won't want it to end.

Delightfully subtle humor with occasional laugh aloud moments tightly wound around a really great story.

ARC form Net Galley for a non-biased review.

Before you start reading this book make sure you learn to use the highlight and note function on your e-reader. Or if you have a physical copy go to your local office supply store and see if they have gallon buckets of high-lighter. I swear my Kindle glowed a little brighter when I was reading this insightful manifesto.

In a yes, yes world we are reminded of the power of no and how much we can accomplish when we learn to embrace no. This is one of those books that I will read again and again.

Top Hat Reviews

Huge, sprawling, sometimes goes far afield but still delightfully Pat Conroy.

I got this book through Inter-Library Loan but I'm going to order it as I think it has some solid usable material.

I'd recommend it.

Hot effing awesome.

Tragic circumstances cause Kacey and her sister to flee and create a new life for themselves but the past is a hard thing to shake. Tragedy, angst, and steam find true love in new beginnings.

Great book with some horrible interludes. If you want to learn about Agile and DevOps this is a fantastic book. It's even better that it is in novel form.

However the novel is where it sometimes runs into problems. There is an awful lot of frankly abusive meltdowns, table slapping, yelling, scheming, etc. If the CEO Steve couldn't see some of these things and was really such an asshat after pleading with Bill to take over the department then how in the hell did he become the CEO.

Other problems with the book but it was still GREAT.

I think this might have worked better as auto-biography. The subject matter is fascinating whether it's Sandra's personal story or incidents around her trauma cleaning business. Sadly, it seems that a focus wasn't chosen and therefore neither story was told. This could have been a great book.

Two things I rarely do.

  1. I don't believe I've ever given a business book five stars; however, this one won them all.
  2. I don't usually read books more than once; however, I will return to The Introvert's Edge again and again.

I consider my self more of an ambivert, but this book was written for me! I am already using the tips and techniques that Mr. Pollard has suggested in his book and I'm seeing results in my coaching business. The fear of “always be closing” becomes much more manageable when you have a guide that leads you to a YES! from a potential client.

Thank you for writing this! You have empowered me to be able to not let “sales” get in the way of helping my clients succeed!

Naming your characters Colton Mather and Grim is a little too precious. The book goes off on some off tangents on a regular basis. Still scary. I wouldn't read it after dusk.

Good memoir detailing the path of how Tony Youn became a plastic surgeon. Interesting back stories of his tyrannical, but loving father, Mr. Youn's nerdiness, and his inability to get laid, have sexual relations, create meaningful acts of physical intercours...OK, maybe it was about getting laid. Witty and enjoyable although it did take a while to get to his ultimate career choice. I guess the compliment here is that if he wrote another book - I'd read it.

Dauntingly technical for the beginner but amazing.

I read to enter another world. Maybe that world is unrealistic and maybe it mirrors reality but I'll embrace my happy world view. That world is where bullies get their comeuppance in the end. For me this was nihilistic, depressing teen angst.

Alcoholic author gets girl. Couple get dog. Dog bites girl repeatedly. Alcoholic author and dog lose girl. Alcoholic author gets sober and takes dog training classes. Dog learns. Recovering alcoholic author gets girl again. Happily ever-after.

If you are an aspiring writer you'll like it. If you like crude humor you'll like parts of it. If you like funny you'll like even more parts. If you “hearted” the Bush administration - then probably not so much.

A bit draggy at times but all around a fine effort.

I look forward to watching his work progress.
