Does what it says it will do.

Sorry, just tired of being annoyed by whiny characters. Read much further than I wanted to and finally gave up.

Really good book. Gives you a glimpse into a world that hopefully most of us will never have to experience.

I picked up this book because I'm always interested in books, libraries, and how real people live day to day. Avi Steinberg gave me everything I was looking for and was able to tell a good story along the way.

Highly recommend.

The story was pretty good but the writing felt clunky for me. However, I finished it so it deserves at least a three.

As always a good, solid, fun read.

Good book on how your outer world is impacted by your inner world and vice versa. The importance of letting go in order to fill your void with love and joy rather than stuff.

Discover your why. Nothing new.

Fitness information is solid but the personal story is more gripping.

I'm looking forward to a autobiography!

I think 24 Hour Fitness rocks as a gym but this is pretty much an extended inspirational advertisement for their chain.

Visually delightful and very informative. Makes we want to go build something arty.

Middle aged man runs a marathon then goes running mad.

How many times have you read a book by a famous journalist, celebrity, or other “celebutante” only to be disappointed by the story, weak writing, or their lack of anything of substance to say? When you pick up Tom Foreman's fast paced book on running you will be delighted. If Mr. Foreman, of CNN correspondent fame, had stopped the book mid-way through with the completion of his first marathon it would have been a satisfying read. But he breaks through and continues on with the story of his first ultra-marathon which is fascinating.

Ultimately this is a tale of finding one's self again when you didn't even know you were lost. The writing is tight, the pacing is perfect, and even if you cared nothing about running it's damn fine story telling!

Mr. Weiner's search for his God, god, gods was informative and entertaining. He has a light touch and is witty and inventive with language for this I loved the book. There were a few times I found myself skimming but for the most part this was a solid experience.

Not a fan of short stories. Don't usually read literature of the American West...BUT Craig Johnson has a gift. These stories and his writing are magical! I can't pick a favorite although “Messenger” ranks way up there.

When I saw this book I was very excited. I guess I was hoping it would have more information about the author's involvement with the oldest bookstore of its kind in NYC. It did not deliver that. Otherwise it is a fairly simple basic book.

I wavered between being intrigued and being bored. Listened to the audio and this was 25+ hours. Quite an investment for it to kind of peter out at the end.

Primarily reading due to research on lucid dreaming.

Terribly racist with one redeeming line but a heck of an adventure story.

Craig Johnson delivers!

Johnson is an amazing storyteller. His way with the English language will make you laugh, cry, but most of all it makes you care . I'm ecstatic that his audience found him and that I am part of that fan base.

some quite good advice

I vacillated between a three and a four on this big eco-terroism book. What pushed me to four was the absolute disgust and joy that I felt for his characters. There were scenes where I felt like I'd been kicked somewhere in my nether regions and would literally find myself holding my breath from the hostile emotions his characters evoked in me.

Boyle made me feel something and this is why I tipped to a four.
