Love Ghostbusters so this is a perfect read for me, great to see the original characters back doing what they do best, oh the nostalgia!
The art is wonderful and the story is fun.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I really enjoyed it. Cathy is a no nonsense and driven Detective Garda with amazing kick boxing skills and a nose for investigating.

She tackles each problem head on and doesn't stop until she gets the truth.

The three storylines twist, turn and build until you arrive at the answer to the questions you've been asking. I will say now that I hate Trish, I hate her with a fiery passion and thinks she needs a good punch in the face a few times to wipe that look off of her face but that might just be me!

I am so much looking forward to the next book, especially after the cliffhanger at the end of this one, it was unexpected and shocking! Cannot wait to see what happens!

The classic tale of Alice illustrated beautifully and with the weirdness you expect of this story.

These books keep getting better and better! I love the Tracy Crosswhite series and eagerly await the next book.

Tracy is investigating a current homicide and asked by a friend to have a look at a cold case to see if there's anything in there to help solve it. It's mainly about the cold case but working through that helps with the current homicide she's working on, old secrets and lies, old evidence looked at with fresh eyes and newer techniques, work together to solve both cases and bring peace to loved ones.

I love the fact that she works cold cases because we don't hear much about those cases being solved and the guilty parties jailed for their crimes.

As long as Robert Dugoni continues to write books in this series, I'll continue to read and love them.

Now I'm not sure if this is classed as a cosy mystery but that's how it read for me and I thought it was wonderful!

Dead people being murdered, newly dead people given their jobs and mysteries to be solved, perfect.

The humour is like mine, sarcasm, gotta love it! The characters are well developed and fun, some are slightly self important but I can ignore that and they're quite happy to break all the rules to solve the mystery.

I love this book and am eagerly awaiting more in this series!

I started reading this in February and then, for some reason, put it down. This morning I slapped some sense into myself and decided to restart it, once I did, I couldn't put it down!

It's a slow build, we learn the background of the friendship between Abby and Gretchen and you get pulled into their story, how the foundation is started and how each experience they have builds to make their friendship stronger. And then it starts to go to shit.

It gets progressively worse and builds to the wonderful finale. I loved this book and will be getting my hands on the physical edition as soon as possible.

Another great book from Grady Hendrix and I urge you all to read it and savour it.

Extremely quick, fun and humorous read, I always enjoy books like this when I need a break from reading all the crime, supernatural, mystery and horror books I read. Great book.

Romance novels are not really my thing but horror is. I loved the paranormal aspects of this book, they were both creepy and weird and the horror was done well in the confines of the story.

The romance was important so you emotionally connected to the characters but all of the sex scenes weren't needed (in my opinion anyway) they seemed to distract from the story and some of the later scenes were definitely not needed.

The reason it's a 3.5 rating is because of some of the sex scenes and the last 3 pages of the book, I hated the last 3 pages, I don't know why they were added as it ruined the story for me.

So I'll ignore those last few pages and say that I really, really enjoyed 90% of this book and would read books by this author again.

This is such a good book!! Slightly slow start but it soon built up and raced towards the ending.

It does have child molestation, rape and torture but it's not too descriptive about it, enough information to see the horror and sickness of people.

I very much look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series as Lucy carries on her work to get justice.

This just builds and builds! It starts of slowly, easing you into the story of the town and little bits about Katherine, introducing you to the main players in the story, getting to know them all and become invested in their lives.

Then incidents start to occur that shock and kinda disgust you only to have it continue to build to even more atrocious actions and then to that ending, wow.

Mob mentality rules, there's death, lots of death, torture, blood, insanity and intense grief. It's a roller coaster ride of supernatural horror but with the added bonus of social media thrown in a little.

A very, very good read.

This is more police procedural than most of the other cosy mysteries I've read and I think that maybe why I liked this so much.

There's action, murder, mystery and well developed characters. Even though it's the 4th in a series I didn't feel like I was missing too much backstory as there was just enough info to update me as to ‘previously in Zoe Chambers life' but it has sparked my interest for the rest of the series so I shall be picking them up when I can.

This review is based on, what I imagine, the final physical edition of the book will be.

It does not transfer to digital edition too well but this didn't hamper my enjoyment of it too much, the illustrations are wonderful and the amount of detail is perfect.

We read about the weapons used, in depth information on the xenomorphs and the various crews from the films.

The physical book is now on my wish list as I know it will be a perfect edition to my collection.

Death, drugs, secrets and lies in a school. Wasn't like that in my day!

The mystery is good, the characters well written, some I wanted to punch really hard in the face but that might just be me!

I worked out the twists in the story but that didn't stop me from enjoying it, I wanted to see when the protagonist worked it out!

Thoroughly enjoyed it!

I really, really want to go to Hawaii now! The culture, the people, the food, the gorgeous views and weather and did I mention the food?!

The characters are fun and well described although some seem a little flat to me. The mystery wasn't the main story, the stalking was and both were wrapped up alright but I thought there should've been more about the stalking, previous behaviour etc. It ended too nicely, too cleanly for me but I did enjoy the story.

Wow, just wow. I haven't read any books in this series before so don't really know the complete history, just the little bits told in this but I definitely want to read the rest now!

It started a little slow but soon built into one of the best books I've read this year. That ending is superb and aggravating at the same time!! I cannot wait for the next book to see how it all pans out.

Highly, highly recommended!!

My first book by this author and also my first about The Mothman. Part mystery, part romance, part urban legend all mixing superbly together to create this wonderful story!

The characters are fleshed out and each have their own tragic back stories which we find out as we make our way through the story, things weave together to bring us to the unexpected ending.

Everything is tied up nicely but left open for more in the series. I can't wait to read more!

I enjoy books about crime scene investigators so am always on the look out for new books where they play a main character. This is a good read, there's no mystery about it, just science and police work, along with violence and bad guys and I really enjoyed it.

This is the first book in a series following both o these tenacious characters and I can't wait for the next instalment.

This is the 2nd book in the Tracy Crosswhite series and it is just as good, in fact better than the first.

There are still the people you want to punch in the face, if you've read it, you know exactly who I mean, and there's the camaraderie you get from being part of a close knit team who have each other's backs and will do anything to protect each other.

The action and mystery is still wonderful and surprises and red herrings are thrown in to try and trip you up as you follow the steps to work out who the killer is.

I'm trying to keep myself from reading the 3rd book in the series but I don't know how long I can stop myself from it!

This is sooooo good!! I don't usually read that much distopia but from the first paragraph of this I was hooked!

The characters are funny, fleshed-out and well rounded, the setting, New Oxford is the distopian Oxford and there's plenty of action, blood, Pales and Genetic Others to keep you occupied.

I put this down for about an hour and had to pick it up again, I enjoyed it so much and I am supremely excited for the second book in the series Crescent Moon, whenever it's going to be released!!

As I was reading this Making a Murderer kept popping into my head, it just had that kind of a feel to it. I didn't enjoy it any less, it's a very good story.

When Tracy's sister Sarah disappears she's distraught and does all she can to help find her, she blames herself for not driving her home and thinks her parents blame her too. Twenty years later Tracy is a detective in the Seattle police force and finds out that a body has been found in her home town, she rushes back and is told its Sarah's body.

Tracy has always had doubts about the evidence in the case and works with her old school friend Dan, now a lawyer, to find out what really happened all those years ago.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, trying to piece together the clues and find out what happened that night. The ending was splendid and it all came full circle well.

Going to start reading the 2nd book in the series shortly. Can't wait.

Oohh this is a tricksy book! You think you know what's happening and suddenly the rug is pulled a little from under you, it happens throughout the book until you are surprised and wondering where the rug went.

It's told from 4 perspectives, Kate, Mannix, Hazel and Oscar and from both Ireland and New York, the tale of two families doing a house swap and everything that happens inbetween.

I really enjoyed this book and although a few things were left unanswered I still thought the ending was as it should be. Really recommend this book.

This is a really good cosy mystery, fun and quirky characters, a cruise ship and casinos! What more could you ask for? A cat you say? Yep there's one of those too!

Although it's the 5th in a series it gives enough back story to enjoy it as a stand alone but I know I want to read the rest of them, they're funny and the clues are dotted about nicely. It also makes you really want to go on a cruise!

Well so much for me trying to get an early night! At 1am my brain said ‘I know, why don't we read a couple of chapters of The Disappearance' and I said ‘yeah, go on then, just a couple of chapters though', cut to me putting the finished book down at 4.30am!

It wasn't what I expected it to be, I thought there'd be more mystery or thriller about it but there really wasn't, that did in no way prevent me from finishing it though and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It switches back and forth between years and between Audrey and her daughter Lexi, slowly building the back story and fleshing out the characters.

The ending wasn't what I was expecting either but it was done really well and I'm glad about that. Definitely 2 thumbs up from me.

In the review I wrote earlier for With a Passion Put to Use I said how I really disliked Beverley, I'm still not a fan of hers but she didn't seem as horrible in this one, maybe I should read the previous books in the series and see how I feel then.

The mystery, as always, was good, clues dotted about here and there and the usual despicable characters.

How they get themselves into these situations is beyond be but if they didn't, we wouldn't have anymore books in the series so I'm just talking nonsense again.
