Quick read. Loved the story and reading again of characters in Castle Rock. The ending was a great reminder

It's a little slow to get into, but the explanations are necessary. This is an amazing ride.

What a great ride...but the ending? Did not like that outcome.

I laughed, cried, cheered, and struggled right alongside this group of characters. What a journey this read was. I cannot wait to read the next !!!

This was a slow start for me, but about halfway through it started getting interesting really fast and I ended up enjoying the book.

This took a bit for me to get into but about halfway through it started to pick up and ended up being enjoyable.

Not a terrible book but nothing amazing either. While it's good story of heartbreak, loss and then heartwarming as love comes anew, it was just blah as far as the writing style goes.

Extremely hard to finish this one. Was pretty boring as far as the writing goes and the characters were mediocre at best.

I'm not much for reading graphic novels, but I love Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, etc. This was a great read and the graphics were easy to get lost in because of all the detail.

I have to say I absolutely loved the narrator and storyline!

Older book and by no means up to today's thrillers but still a goodie.

An older book I read for a book club. Very enjoyable read.

Beth has everything she wants, safety, stability, a loving husband and faithful pup. What more could she ask for?

Barely coping with the scene of destruction, and the aftermath of being attacked herself, Beth's husband, Marty, talks her into heading to White Mist Lake Retreat. He won't let her call the police or tell her what is going on and instead is cryptic and mysterious.

Beth is too tired to argue and does what he says. After all, he is her husband and is only doing what's best, right? Will she survive this ordeal or is there something more sinister at work behind her husband's seemingly loving smile...

I really enjoy this author's writing, was quickly pulled in and finished quickly. There were times when Beth grated on my nerves, but I think that was the point. The author does a great job of showcasing Beth in both a positive and I just want to smack her light.

This is the first in a new fantasy series. I was introduced to this on Instagram and am glad I snagged it on Kindle Unlimited. I think this is a good debut, and it can only get better from here.

I enjoyed the “dance” between Annika and Luke as they work together to solve the mystery surrounding the recent murders. I also thought it interesting that supernaturals are living alongside humans, but witches are still in “hiding”.

The most interesting part for me is Luke and his wolf form. They are more like two halves to one being, that have to live together. The Wolf can overpower and come out if Luke doesn't stop it. I think that adds a little excitement to the story.

Overall, I enjoyed this one. For me, this has a cozy mystery/YA feel. It's a quick and fun read. Those who love fantasy and a little mystery will enjoy this one.

I just can't with this book. This is supposed to be a look into a true crime, and it's more of a gossipy unverifiable information dump.

On top of that, it's repetitive and boring. This narrator's voice is horrible. She tries to do different fluctuations for the characters, but this is true crime, not a fiction so it's absolutely unnecessary.

One of the worst audio books I've listened to about true crime.

I haven't read this author, or this format before, and I absolutely loved this. This is a compilation of the author's blog posts, hand-picked by her.

This is a great way to start the day, perfect to pair with a morning cup of coffee or tea. This is also a great way to end your day on a positive note before bedtime.

I love the theme of gratitude. It seems like there's not enough of that in today's society. This is chock full of great advice, ideas, and thoughts that can be meditated upon.

Really more of a 3.5 but rounded to 4 for sheer love of the Trilogy itself.

I love a good novel or novella detailing how a villian became just that. It leads to a better understanding, most times, of why they are how they are. If I had read this as a stand-alone, and had no knowledge of the main series (which I LOVE) I would have rated lower.

While I loved the story behind Snow and how the games actually became what they are, this was a very slow, and oftentimes boring read. Even with the slow presentation, the beginning of the book is where my fascination and enjoyment really held. It waned greatly after the games were over.

I also think the history of Snow could have been made with a lot less pages. The endless amount of Lucy Gray and the Covey's songs, and how they were presented, broke my engagement more than kept it. I found myself skimming and sometimes outright skipping those parts.

I understand now all the disappointed views of this one BUT it does not, nor will it ever, take away my absolute love of The Hunger Games Trilogy.

I came...I tried...and I got my first DNF of 2022 at 45%.


This was a buddy read with a fun group of Bookstagrammers. They, at least, made this book fun. As for the book itself...

Drivel. I really tried to connect with Maddie, Chase and their story but couldn't. Chase is an egotistical bully who plays at having a good heart while at the same time emotionally abuses Maddie ...

Maddie is immature and hard to even like. She complains about her nickname “Maddie the Martyr” yet does nothing to change this. She keeps saying she is this new Maddie who will not take crap from anyone yet I didn't see that. She never fully grew and when it came to Chase she just rolled over and let him handle her.

I don't like books where they glorify mentally abusive relationships like this. I also kept asking myself how old these characters were supposed to be because of the games and immaturity levels.

I'm glad some readers enjoyed this book and this author but I won't be reading anything by them again.

I'm not even 100pgs in and I'm calling it. While the writing is really good and easy to read, the format and story itself is too confusing with little-to-no explanation.

Beings like the Seraph, are glanced over without explaining who or what they are. They seem to be important as they are mentioned over and over again but I have no idea why.

People are popping up left and right the same way. No idea how they fit in anywhere, and there are so many. I think clans are even mentioned but I honestly have no idea as names are just thrown around.

Then we go from one character's story to the next without any cohesion between the chapters, so at one point I seriously thought I missed something and had to go back and skim what I already finished.

I think this definitely could have been a great read but there is WAY too much happening and too many people, places and clans/tribes popping up. More explanation of what things are, who is who, and maybe even a map of where all these locations and people are would have been helpful.

Fun re-reading this one. It's one of my King favorites as well as the movies, old and new.

Whelp I just found another 2022 favorite and another series to get lost in. This is an absolutely amazing read, and is one that definitely shouldn't be rushed. With the beautiful writing, the fantastic world building and easy-to-love main characters, this is sure to be an all-time favorite for readers of epic fantasy.

My favorite part of Ascendant is Holt and Ash and the bond they forged when Holt saves him. Ash may be blind, but that does mean he is worthless and deserving of death before he even hatches. I love the message that comes across with this act of love and humanity.

I haven't read a solid fantasy with dragons as a substantive part of the main story. I have to say I really enjoyed this. It felt like a mix of Merlin/Camelot, Eragon (movie as I haven't read the books ... yet) and How to Train Your Dragon. The banter and playfulness, the sarcastic thoughts and strong connection with their rider, really brought this home for me. I seriously need me an Ash right now

I was asked by the author to read and review this cute story! Follow the tale of this adorable fox as she tries to bring the sun to her mom and finds friendship and courage along the way. I love the life lessons showcased and cannot wait to read this to my grandbaby. Thank you for the opportunity to read this loveable tale.

DNF for me. I wanted to like this one but the formatting from the get-go ruined it for me. It has a pretty scattered thought process and the lack of quotations, or any sort of conversation separator, made it very hard to stay invested in. When I'm reading, I don't want to decipher who is speaking and where their dialogue ends.

I also felt like there were so many unnecessary filler paragraphs which made what I did read lag a lot.

I saw so many good reviews for this one, which has me wondering just how many are accurate. The premise sounded intriguing but sadly I just couldn't get invested in the story.

The Omen of Destruction is an action-packed journey as we follow Jarren, Ameida and Sepheus on their quest to stop the Flares and rid the world of the Rot. Tensions are high between the trio as they are each from different factions and trust is hard. I liked this aspect of the story as well as the growth we see between them. It added a lot to the overall journey for me.

The adventures Jarren and his team go through, both individually and together, is well done and I especially love how it all came to a head at the end. I am looking forward to continuing the series, especially with the cliffhanger at the end of this one.

I love these for a quick read in the morning with coffee. Ghost stories are always fun and I really enjoyed this one.
