This was such an amazing book to kick off the new year with. MMFM romance where all the characters go through great growth and even the side characters feel really fleshed out.
On top of that, the spice was spice-ing. Loved it.
I loved being able to read more about this group's story and how it progressed past the main book.
It was really hard reading this in the beginning because of how much I disliked the FMC, but as the “Scrooge” in this retelling, that's to be expected. I really loved the growth the character went through and the MMCs as well.
Genuinely, I ended up loving this book more than I expected.
This book enthralled me as much as it enraged. You come to love the characters and then Scott Lynch just throws one punishment after another after another at them.
