It is basically the pilot episode of the TV Show “Lost”. Very unsatisfying but promising and interesting. Unfortunately this is not a pilot but a whole book.

After finishing it I have more questions than answers, it seems the author set it up that way so you will buy book 2. With just 200 pages that feels just wrong. If you subtract the dreadfully boring ramblings of the protagonist's past and marriage it is little more than a prologue of a real book. If it had a proper ending or at least some resemblance of an ending or would even answer one question I would maybe give it three stars.

First half is great, second half is so so, feels rushed and without any satisfying conclusion at all.

Quiet good, something is missing, no idea what though.

“guilty pleasure” best describes this book, i guess.

Good. Better and very different than the first.

It's ok. Nothing special.

It's good. Read it.

This one was terrible. I liked the first one, but this is just bad. Hardly any exploration of the amazing world, only petty storylines with no reason to be there other than to produce a thicker book.
Naiv politics, boring main story arc, uninterresting new characters. My suggestion is to kill it with fire.

Awesome, read it.
The Ending was a bit of a disappointment tho.

Half of the book is not a Thriller but a History book, which can bore you to death if your not into italian culture/history. The story itself is, partly, far fetched and artificially stretched to keep you interested in the next chapter, which works to some extend. Nothing is revealed for 80% of the book and then everything is laid open in 2 chapters. At the last chapters i was seriously annoyed by the book. If you are not into Dan Brown and/or italian history, dont read it, its a waste of your time.

P.S. I am wondering how much money Dan Brown got from Apple.

Soap Opera with sci-fi elements. Totally boring till about 80% of the book. No comparison to the first book.

That did not pull me in at all

This is confusing and random. Half the time I have no idea whats going on, who is speaking to whom, what it is about or why I am even reading this instead of a better book.

12% DNF. Did not draw me in, prose is clunky, nothing stood out. Not horrible though.

Boooooohoooooring AF

Too random in the beginning, fails to establish a storyline or an interesting world.

It's comical how badly written that is. DNF at 12%
