Why does this book- you know what I don't even wanna know why this book exists without having an ADHD publisher take a look or even attempt to do a survey to see if these methods would work with ADHDers.
Most of it was rather condescending and basic advice that's more like it should be done this way and may way or you are going to suffer as you do as an ADHDer.
There may be a bit of small advice that someone can use like 1/1,000 advices the author puts into this book. I'm glad I skimmed this and only focused on what I wanted to know. At least the information is presented in a good matter; small notes, decent sized text, post it images, and images to see what the example was suppose to be like. The author sympathizes a little with her ADHD clients or her daughter who has it but doesn't say more than that besides what troubles each clients have that she has
“solved.” Please pick another book if you're looking for organization strategies especially if you are an ADHDer.
WHAT DO You MEAN ITS THE END. Man was that a wild ride. Everything had action or adventure in them and I loved everything about it. READ it if you get the chance. I really do hope this gets a good adaptation into a tv series since a movie wouldn't be enough. I want all the scenes to play out not just what producers claim as this is good enough.
I felt like the pacing of the book was very odd. There was multiple action chapters but more depressing. The characters can't catch a break at all. But there was something really off about it. I feel like they're on a base level of character development like they won't go higher or go lower. It's just there. I will still continue the series because I am curious to find out how the series will end and I did enjoy some parts of the book so many things happen just like the last book but it's more intense in this one.
I can't believe it took me this long to read this book. It is predictable, and most of the story is as expected for the characters; however, it is fast and smoothly paced. It does not linger in one scene at all, which makes me think this would make a wonderful TV show. I like the male character more than the female, which usually happens in these types of stories. It is a great read but very spicy.
I didn't know what to think when I first started listening to this book. It instantly captivated me with its rich and detailed descriptions, actions, and folklore as the story unfolds. Adventure is in every chapter, pulling on my heart strings for different reasons. I am so glad I gave this book a chance.
Don't be afraid to jump into this duology (I think?), and it will not bore or wreck your life too much XD. The only reason I am not rounding to five stars is that the book caused me to crave more chapters. No- you know what? I will be giving this 5 stars because it's PERFECT in world-building and journey.
I didn't know how the author was going to continue raising the bar from the last book, but I had faith and hope that it would. BOI, did she not disappoint! Even more adventure, action, plotting, heartache, and so much more. I officially loved the series from the last book going forward, but this book has me believing it might be close to a perfect series without a book being a filler or not as great as the others. However, I didn't really care for the first book, which usually happens to me in a long book series.
A raw hard hitting truthful book. It's always weird and amazing to hear other people's journeys and how even though you may experience some things as the same but it affects and effects them and you differently. I love and get sick a little bit, whenever I read/hear/watch other people's journey through the struggles, problems, and life just dealing with you. What I mean by get sick a bit is that it will sooner or later it will come up with something profound and or emotionally triggering to me and my mind is depleted of energy as I carry the load of another's' story. But the way I see it it's worth the pain of loving and learning from a book like this. There have a lot of stuff happen so I'm sorry someone better than me will but all the trigger warnings. There isn't a single action that the writer didn't cross my mind at least once. I am so glad that she is telling you that therapist that don't work with you are not worth your money or time. I wish I knew and accepted that when I was younger. Totally going to actually read this book; page by page one day to fully understand and learn her methods. This book was a trial of never ending attacks and the writer, SPOILER ALERTTT,
Had found a way to be happy with her new life and new self. Oh and I hope she continues to have a happy ending as life goes on for her.
Honestly, I love the idea of this book and loved the action parts, but I couldn't really get into the groove of it. Most of it just went out another ear. I don't know if I will be continuing this series. I, however, do love all the folklore; a few I've heard of and others I'm fascinated with it for the first time.
I would have liked it more if the main characters acutally acted like kids. Starting from a kids perspective; understand the author wanted to set it to be more serious but none of the characters acted like any younger age than 20 year olds. The speech pattern of the main characters were influenced by this. I would have like it more if this wasn't the way the book was. This was an incredibly long book and for many times I couldn't continue. But it was interesting enough to read about a video game makers' perspectives. I am glad that im enough of a causal gamer to understand all the games they mentioned in this book. HOWEVER if you don't play any video games I would suggest avoiding this.
I love this series because it's more about the main character, an innovative, cunning, ambitious woman, than the crowned prince/king. How it's all from her point of view, and while we may get some insight into other characters, we do not get a backstory of everything. This is unique to me since I have read most of my fantasy romance books that have, at some point, shifting POVs. While that is exciting and makes us love the partner of the main character more, I still miss the mystery, and the importance of confessions actually said. To prove that their words are true by actions and words, not just by their thoughts. I hope this makes sense to you. This book made my new year's eve enjoyable even though I was surrounded by blood-of-origin family members who couldn't care for me. I had a lot of bitter realizations today that I had to swallow, but this was a shocking jump start to get me feeling again and even to laugh out loud. Even if it disturbed my family members, I didn't care; I would enjoy all the twists and turns, rollercoasters of events and emotions, and the intelligent and poetic trickery in this book.
I will be reading this book again in the future. Probably even going to purchase it from Audible.
I am so deep into this series I LOVE IT. Twist after twists especially halfway through the book. It picks up about 5 months after the first book and its just a delight. But boy am I glad that dark Fae forces aren't in my life. Dark fairytales like this is desired, to let your mind experience it, and seen with your imagination but should never come true.
The only reason why it's not a 5 star is because it's not a series but tied up nicely in the conclusion. I like the characters but don't really love anyone in particular except maybe the book reader XD. Still it's a fantastic adventure with action and a bit of mystery everywhere. If this was made into a movie I would drag all of my loved ones to see this awesome book turn to screen.
The first Manga I've read in a lonnnggg while, that was borrowed on my library card that is. It's... rather bland in the first two chapters but it does get a little cute. I would say I love enjoyed myself by the end of the volume 1. The art definitely is not my style but I'm glad I stuck to reading till the end cuz it gets a worthy love rival XD. I liked the love rival more than the official main character. Which is not to be surprised since I rarely like main characters in anime or manga. It takes a lot of time for me to like main characters or cough, cough* they need to be my type of aesthetically pleasing to my eyes XD.
