Lots of great lessons and I’m not even a parent and will stick to the decision to not have baby’s or toddlers. That being said I love how this book teaches readers to consider the child feelings consider the perspective and goals and moods parents are in and yet still draw a line in stuff that needs to be done. While also coming up with empathetic and examples of each technique or habit she talks about. I’ll reread it again someday but hopefully not this year.

2.75. Aka I acknowledge some ideas were finally expressed in a good way and can see why it’s hyped up. I can see how it’s inspirational. That being said. I hated the main character and it felt incredibly long to me. I didn’t really connect with the storyline personally or maybe it reminded me of something or someone that it made me trigger my dislike. It’s a decent book. Some parts is even really good. But overall I wouldn’t say I recommend it enough to one of my friends who rarely reads. Because it’s hard to stay consistent engaged in this book. But it is a very real powerful emotional provoking at some parts. It’s not the most unique idea but it is one that isn’t bad. Btw I loved the first book the midnight library. But this one felt like a eh sequel. This is my personal feelings and perception of my thoughts I truly hope other readers connect to it more than I have.

I vaguely remember it’s good but I will relisten to it someday when I can pay more attention. I added a lot of bookmarks on hoopla so its totally has new tricks or ways to think about ADHD and how to handle it better for myself. I’m putting this rating as a placeholder maybe it can raise up by 0.5 on a star scale but I doubt its going to be a 5/5 stars like everybody else reviewed it on Hoopla/ as I’m very picky with my 5 stars now.

Amazing. Surprises. Emotional. As always I love this series. They stay true to their storyline.

Really didn't like all the spider references. I actually caught up in the anime and im so glad I will know what's going on. I do like the Dugeon levels and so forth but felt it was eh. I just really hate how many times spiders were mentioned and were in the storyline for this volume.

I do appreciate the authors note in the end for trying to make this as a readable light novel by combining multiple manga chapters so that it would read as a good first intro to this world building and this series. Unfortunately for me it seemed better to have visuals of the reactions and everything so it was more like a middle school novel and would be better watched as an anime or read as a manga.

so personally, I found the audiobook was very unhelpful about telling me how many books in compilation this had I immediately noticed halfway through the book. So I began looking for Patricia Briggs own website for short stories and their names it there, but doesn’t really go into detail which ones which and how many pages and everything so I went on Kindle and then cross referenced it to defined that there were so many details anthropology the first one this book that was mentioned in I’m like no I’m going to treat it as separate ones. That way it’ll be easier. I will probably delete it later since I am a librarian. This is just my easier way of like entering it into the system and then hopefully it will more organized I’ll ask manager or really well seasoned librarian here on this app to help me deal with the information because I don’t know how to deal with it and I’m too tired right now. But I also borrowed the Kindle version of the blind date with a werewolf, and it does stay all the things that I’m naming here on it in the acknowledgments and the credits page in the beginning of the book. I just don’t know how to enter that proof yet.

This series was 3.5 stars at best. But I had fun moments with it. Wished it was better but satisfied. And glad I got to the end of this series and how it ended.

finally a favorite from the series. It was nearly perfect but still fun an adventurous

will need to reread cuz hecka hjfg dissociation at this book lenth and point

Planning to reread after tomorrow. Since hecks dissociation to the point I only caught snipbits.

Only cuz I’m dissociativing and stressed and burn out. Im sure if properly and at a good place I would have rated it higher.

so much about bugs and spiders. I tried speeding through and ong does it go into too many details. It was interesting but then it just… died off into boring and repetitive too many details but not even solving or progressing I’m so sad and disappointed. First book since I’ve rediscovered and fell in love with these authors.

i honestly don’t remember much or finishing this today but my dissociation and concentration are to blame for being so problematic

Planning to reread ebook to really take in some of the suggestions to implement in my life

Planning to reread it when I’m in a more welcoming and better headspace. I think it can help at least with 3+ more ideas to implement

My version of a summary that doesn't spoil too much:

A dystopia of set colors dictation system that divides beings into unfair roles and hierarchy. A sci-fi rebel series that starts with this book. Contains lots of high-tech and presented in a smart male lead where he actually overthinks things through and so many plot twists that each time you go. NO WAY DID THAT HAPPEN. -my opinion

My version of a book synopsis without spoiling too much:

Set in the early 1960s, a probably autistic female lead is one of the most brilliant scientists who goes through life until tragedy strikes, and she must continue amid many plot twists. As the past reveals (way too late in my opinion), buried secrets that can shake her world again.

Eh about it. I could have read or not read it. Basically did not impact me at all.

3.5 Liked to enjoyed a lot.

A very unassuming slice-of-life book that revolves around serious topics such as death, abandonment, and other things but it feels so light and fun in the beginning. As it progresses the book shows its deep thoughts and feelings, and I was too caught up in the tide to even think of going back to the surface. I loved how it played out. But it is not a very dramatic book so it's told in a slow pace. If that is not your thing I don't recommend this to you. But if you're ever in the mood for an emotional rollercoaster or heart strings being tugged this is a great book for that.

It was hard for me to continue in the beginning. But the banter that starts and ensues in this entire book is rather fascinating and perfectly enjoyable. I loved how it did not shy away from dark elements. So much ANGST and the feels that come as several waves that make you feel so raw. The middle and ending truly saved this book for me however since the beginning was hard for me to continue its a 4.3 for me.

It is a very crude and non-filtered book. It left me wondering a lot of things whether it was metaphorically or....? I am kinda upset this was a book that become a little bit-more popular when everything is soo... unpleasant.

I was really not into this book because it was different from what I originally imagined so I read about 90% of it and enjoyed it but didn't get back to it until a year later. After taking an ethnicity, all of these information is so important andgiven in fun way. I admire that about the book. So I'll reread it one day. This to,e the actually book so I can see the history lay out instead of just listening to the voices which was cool because they had guest stars but imagining it doesn't really work well with me. I recommend this to anyone who is interested in Asian American history or want to be more knowledgeable about the topic.
