The tent in the middle of a small wooded area, creepy clowns, and other circus acts. In the sense of what was going on it was very creepy. Other than that it read very middle school, just starting high school. There was A LOT of repetition in the book to the point where you just started not to care about the characters. And besides that it was all telling and not showing. Writing in first person is hard and you have to put in a lot more work. His author's note in the back was nice but I think he is going to need to work on it.That being said it wasn't too horrible. It was a quick and easy read and if anyone asks I will be picking up the puppet book by him soon. It just sounds so creepy!ALSO, one more thing. The tent... and whole aspect of it kind of reminds me of IT by Stephen King.

Did it live up to the hype? Not really. The first part was fine and the second just was okay. I would read the second volume just to see where the first one ends up and if the story gets better as it progresses.

Majority of this stupid book was 2 girls fighting and hiking. NOTHING happens for the majority of this book. It was a snoozefest and then when things do start to come up Miss Stephanie played into the Appalachian hurtful stereotype while saying 2 young girls are so stupid as to go on this massive camping trip in woods they know nothing about.

I think we all have seen many when it comes to these poor guys. Given that she wrote a good story about the mental state of these kind of people, it is the reason why this book isn't a 1 star.Now did I like it? Not really. I already don't like these psycho extremest fans. They are dangerous and clearly need professional help. This book isn't about regular fans, lets get that straight. It about the ones who cross the very CLEAR line. With that the story was very well written and I did like the poeticness of it.

I LOVE weird and odd books if done right. The writing was long and boring. There were things that didn't need to be in the book and reasons for bringing up race when it didn't need to be brought up? It felt so much like he was trying to include EVERYONE, which is fine if done right.This is the second fucking book I read where someone was writing this whack ass story and then trying to shove a “lesson” into it. I don't mind a book that talks about injustice and the things that go on in the world but for the love of all things good stop trying to do that in books like this and doing it so fucking poorly. It is a slap in the face. It is half assed and so minimally done. It is like saying I am not racist because I have a __ friend. BITCH SAY WHAT? Why are you using something so serious for your dino spirit mysteries? I wanted to scream at this book.Then the whole calling HUMAN BABIES a pet? Like bitch what? Luke is a joke. This book was ALL OVER THE PLACE. Simon was so... LACKING for something he shouldn't have been lacking in. He was written as if by an angsty teen. Luke was trying to make FETCH happen when in all honesty it wasn't going to.I will say the only thing good about this book was the Dino spirits and the kinda twist at the end. I won't lie, I was a bit confused. I like the idea of being haunted by dinos but this book isn't going to be the thing that puts them in their own sub genre.

I loved the story and, to me, how different it is. I really like the MC. I think he is a scrappy punky teen. It is clear he has some learning to do but he catches on fast. It goes at a steady pace. Nothing feels rushed or too long. And honestly, I NEED to know more. Def going to be picking up volume 2 soon!If you like Naruto and Black Clover then I really think you will like this as well.

I think people of the Bandwagon Syndrome on there and I am not about that life.I had such high hopes for The September House. What I got was a wanna be Amityville House mixed in with daddy issues. Carissa needs to pick a damn problem and stick with just that one. This book could have been 100-150 pages shorter. She repeated so much shit over and over and over again. It was like some kid trying to hit the word count for an essay. Carissa threw so much shit into the pot and nothing blended together. From this family issue to the house. I was give so little for majority of the book and not in a good way. A good mystery would want me to WANT more but also savor what I am reading. I just wanted to get the book over with. Another this is how things didn't make sense AND it was never fucking answered. Why did Katherine give a shit about her not talking to her father for a while when in the book it was clear she didn't like him. They hadn't talked for a while beforehand too. Why even put that there? Answer, it wasn't needed. Carissa needed a damn excuse for Katherine to come back home. Also what the fuck was that ending? I get reading is for fun... but that doesn't excuse the shitty writing. The plot holes. The mostly shitty characters. At this point there needs to be reading levels stamped in these books because I am so over the shitty books being pumped so hard.

I have never loved a children's author as much as I love Jon. This one isn't as dark as some of his other works but it was still really cute and really sweet.

Would I like to see this as a top notch B-Rated horror movie? Hell yeah and I hope one day it is!

Usually the whole Star thing makes them so unlikable but this didn't do that. I am also with the MFC who is confused by him but I THINK I get what is going on. Love how she has to try and navigate her life around him in a way but I really do hope she gets a boyfriend, who isn't the MMC. Make him sweat! In the end though I really enjoyed it and was so shocked when it ended! I need V2!
