DNF. I can listen to or read any book in English, except for those by Ian Rankin. I keep losing track of who is who and what is what. So I chucked this one, even though I like him.

I must have read too many of his bools. I find his world view increasingly hard to stomach. Left this book at 80% and will never read anything more from him.

What a disappointment. Well written, a believable protagonist, serious subject matter. But then the man she is searching for turns out to have been dead for a while and before you know it things turn even worse. Because of the prologue, you already know where it's heading. So at 85% of the book I gave up. Life itself is bad enough already, I need some hope in a book full of madness.
Maybe noir is just too noir for me.

Very witty, yet the story does not grab me. Reading this as an audiobook, I should try a paper one. I loved his other series about the Gower street detectives.

A bleak story. Nasty dubject matter. I could not find anything or anyone to really like, so I stopped reading halfway through.

A failure of a book. Morally hard to stomach and psychologically nonsensical too. The making of a murderess would be a more apt title.

Phew. I used to like Camilleri, but this book is awful and boring. He has the hots for a passing crminologist - hard to stomach, his behavior. The case hardly develops. Abandoned halfway.

Funny. I enjoyed this light romance a lot, the witty selftalk etc. Yet at 4/5 I felt the book was over. It dragged on and on while you knew it was all going to be just fine anyway.
