Great read by a local author/friend!

This story had me hooked from the first page. I grew quite fond of all the characters and would love to see a second book about these two love birds. Fast paced, has a little bit of everything and was perfect for the drive to the beach :)

Wow!!! I've loved every Colleen Hoover book I've read and this one did not disappoint. Definitely different from her other titles but still great!

WOW! That's about all I can say for this one. I hate to be like everyone else and say “If you liked Gone Girl...” but seriously, if you did, this is literally the only novel I've read since that I loved as much. Maybe even more. And even if you didn't like Gone Girl but love creepy, disturbing books, then this one will not disappoint.

This one was just... okay. Even I saw it coming and was able to solve most of the mysteries and plots. And that's rare for gullible me 😁

I feel like there are very few mystery writers in the YA genre. Or perhaps I just haven't looked very hard? Either way, Karen McManus is amazing! I really enjoyed “One of us is lying” but her second book I LOVED. It has everything a mystery book should have and even though I probably should have seen it all coming, as usual I was blind and believed the characters were all good people. Of course, one of them had to be the killer. What a great read!

This one gives you all the feels. Very sad, very hard to read at times. But so beautifully written.

I think my expectations after all the hype over this book were just way too high. It did provide some good insights on the mind but I was hoping for more of a practical, “ways to avoid negative thinking” and actual concepts a person like me who overthinks every situation could put to practice. A lot of scripture and a lot of examples of the author's own life stories, some of which were helpful.

So sad to see this series come to an end but what a great ending it was! Can't wait for a new series from this author.

I won't forget this one for a while. Very creepy yet very well written.

This book really spoke to me this holiday. As someone who gets a bit of seasonal depression during Winter, I struggle with the holidays. This book was not just about Christmas but more so about the traps we get ourselves in and how to trust God and have faith that everything will work out as He intended. So many pages I took pics of to read again to remind myself to let go of my past, to trust in the future plans He has for me and to better handle conflict in the coming year. He is the reason for this season! ❤️

This one started out kind of slow but I really enjoyed it! Picks up midway through! Great for fans of magic with a love story mixed in.

I would have gladly given this book 5 stars but then we had to make it political. To me, this book should have been about the series and it's characters and the story line. And for the most part it was. The last chapter could have been left out entirely and this book would have been much more enjoyable. Too bad...

I thought this was a really sweet romance between two strangers. I enjoyed the setting and the plot for this title but was sad to realize I was reading book 2 of a series. I'm now patiently waiting for book 1 and hope that they both read as standalone's.

More like 10 stars! ❤️

One of the first books that came across the reference desk when I started in 2006 at the library. It looked so intriguing I put it on my to-reads list. It took me twelve years to finally get around to reading it and while I wish I could say it did not disappoint... well... it did. The story was there, the characters were there, but the writing just didn't work for me. I'm not even sure I know who was who and who did what. But I see there's a movie so maybe within another twelve years, I'll watch it... maybe :)

I think this tops all the creepy/weird/disturbing books I've read and that's saying a lot. It was impossible to put down, I didn't see the killer coming (although as always, I should have), and it was very well written. A new favorite, a new author. Not for the faint at heart.

I don't even know where to begin. Just read it. BUT, make sure you have book 2 readily available because you will want to keep reading. I fell in love with all the characters in this book. I don't even like young adult books typically which proves just how great this one is. Funny, romantic, and quirky.
A MUST read for all. Of course, I don't have book 2. So now, I wait...

I tried so hard to like this one. Perhaps it's just not my kind of read? So many 4-5 star reviews and I just don't understand the hype. I even started it over 5 times. I forced myself to finish it just to say I did.

I love all of Jon's books! Chapter 6 was my favorite: positive teams communicate and connect. Communication is key! Without it, your organization will not thrive. And #6 on 11 thoughts about teamwork: One person can't make a team but one person can break a team! STAY POSITIVE!

Kristin Hannah has done it again! Love her books and this one did not disappoint. Some parts made me angry, others made me cry, and in the end, I was happy with the story. There were some parts that were a bit drawn out, but overall I think the reader needed those parts to understand Cora and Leni and everything they went through. I also learned that I would never survive in Alaska.

I loved this book. Great, creepy read... until the ending. I was a bit disappointed. But I guess you can't always have a happy ending. The killer doesn't always get caught.

This book was just creepy, which I love of course. Finn drove me a bit crazy with all of his guessing. What if it was this, it could be this, maybe it's this... or maybe not. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. B.A. Paris is becoming a favorite author.

Definitely a new favorite by Castillo. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. 10 stars!

I LOVE Caroline Kepnes and this book did not disappoint! Nothing like her other two titles, but still great! Thoroughly enjoyed this title even though it was a bit odd, but I like odd so it works :)

This story follows two brothers, Eli and Charlie Sisters on the road from Oregon City to a gold-mining claim outside Sacramento. They have been hired to kill Hermann Kermit Warm by their employer, the Commodore. Along the way, Eli decides he wants out of the hired assassin business and claims this to be his last job, while Charlie thinks his brother is an idiot and treats him as such. When they finally track down Warm, they must decide between following the Commodore's orders or going against him to secure their own future. Certainly not your typical western, but it is a humorous, at times tragic story of two brothers trying to survive the only way they can in the wild West.
