I absolutely loved this one!!

More like 10 ⭐️! Can we please get book 2 ASAP!!!

I received this title early from Net Galley* I fell in love with this novel and it's characters. Rosen does a phenomenal job introducing each one into the story and the chapters flow perfectly. I'm a huge fan of books that bounce back and forth between characters but never have I seen an author use more than one characters point of view between chapters quite like this author. It made the story even better! While I adored all the characters, Allison and Jack(ie) were my favorites and I would love to hear the rest of their story. I give this one 5 stars. I will recommend it to everyone and my book club will be reading it in the near future!

Received early from Net Galley and absolutely loved it!

This book took me 3 tries to finish. It is LONG, and much longer than it needed to be in my opinion. The beginning started out so, so promising, and while I did enjoy some parts of it, I found myself getting distracted while listening. So I'm sure I missed some parts? I just think a lot could have been taken out and it would have been a more enjoyable book, or maybe it just wasn't a book for me. If you want to hear an entire woman's life story, and I mean every. single. detail. of it, then this is a good book for you.

One of the best books I've read in a while! Absolutely stunning. Hooks you in from the first sentence to the last. Didn't want to put it down. It will leave me thinking for a long time about life and death and the decisions we make when we are out of our comfort zone. I found myself rooting for this family the entire time, I cried, I laughed, I fell in love with all of them. ❤️

Very cute story time book written by one of my co-workers. Highly recommended for anyone who does story times with small children.

This is the CUTEST children's book ever (and not just because I love turtles). I couldn't resist this one when it came in. Adorable story about a turtle born without a shell. Highly recommended to demonstrate to small children that everyone is born differently, and that's okay :)

Great historical mystery series set in Ohio! Even mentioned Portsmouth and the Scioto River a few times!

Absolutely adorable children's book. I can't wait to see the movie!

A very cute, short read about life.

This book was both a little too predictable and too ridiculous for me. Too much going on. I did love the story between Miller and Clara but the relationship between the parents was just too much.

This book was really great the first half. But the second half just seemed a bit too unrealistic for me. Still a good read, something different.

This was a cute story. I've been on a cute Christmas story kick for the holidays. This one was a little too “cutesy” at the end. But, it was a nice listen.

This is one of the cutest short stories I've ever read. Loved it from start to finish! Will definitely check out more by this author.

I tried to love it as much as everyone else. I did love The Night Circus. Perhaps I'll give it another go next year when I have more time to spare.

My favorite in this series thus far! These books just get better :) Can't wait to read book 4!

Another cute, cozy murder mystery. Thoroughly enjoyed this cozy town of book stores and it's characters. Can't wait to read more in this series! Narrator did a fabulous job!

Cozy, cute mystery

WOW! So many plot twists and so many lies! Such a great mystery. Hope to read more by this author. Narrator was phenomenal too!

I really enjoyed this one. I appreciate the author's honesty and so much of this book spoke to me, especially the parenting chapters. I always think I'm failing as a parent, but as the author says, the fact that you care and worry about failing as a parent only demonstrates what a great parent you are. Some parts were redundant and/or did not apply to me, but that doesn't make them bad, just not for me. It did make me sit down and think long and hard about my current life goals and moving forward, where I see myself in the years to come. I now have a list of new goals and accomplishments!

I loved this book! And I'm sure if it were written anonymously, all the negative stars wouldn't exist (if they even read it). Some people can't see past their party. Yes, there are some politics in this book but it's more about Tomi's life and how to fight for what you believe in. Say what you want about her, this girl stands her ground and fights for what she believes in. A few of my favorite quotes:

“Standing your ground is not always easy. However, when you do it over and over, it becomes the way that you are, and that adds to your confidence.”

“...Once you live without fear, it doesn't get much better. Do no harm, but take no shit!”

“When you've been dropped on your ass, don't sit in the corner and feel sorry for yourself. Square your shoulders and tell yourself that no one will get the better of you. You can be fragile like a flower or fragile like a bomb. The choice is yours!”

“...People are going to try to bait you, to get you angry. They want that part of your personality to come out. But don't respond. Mastering your ability to control your reactions is something I've been working on and something I suggest you work on, too. Take the long view. Have foresight.” ❤️#lifegoals

“Before you ask yourself why some people hate you, ask yourself why you give a damn. Worry less about who you might offend and pay more attention to who you might inspire.”

“Don't ever let anyone reduce you, because when you do, you give them power. And the truth is this: the reason they're saying you're not enough is that you're TOO enough and it scares them. That's their problem, not yours!” ❤️❤️

I LOVE this series! This author came to our small town a few years ago and in this book, Kate Burkholder visits our very own Scioto County! Much of the book takes place in my hometown and I loved it! Dare I say it's my favorite thus far? And that's saying a lot since I loved all of them.

I wanted to love this book because I've loved every other book Leila has published and could not wait for this one. It was just... okay compared to her other titles and didn't have the wow factor I'm used to. Perhaps it was just bad timing for it, or maybe I need to pick it up and try again at a later date, but it just did not live up to my expectations of her novels. A lot of characters mixed with a lot of history so maybe it's just not my kind of book?

Love Elin Hilderbrand's novels. The perfect beach read while vacationing in Florida.
