The illustrations reminded me of Aang so much. Brought back memories for sure. Though this book was kinda different with Aang, but the magic still had water, fire, earth, and wind elements like in Aang.
For me, the story itself was actually good but I missed the background contexts within the story. I think maybe some stories were happening in other books in this series. I wish there were some throwbacks and/or explanations about those. Yet along the way I could understand the story fully because it was easy to guess.
I think this book is the first book I've read with Irish mythology as the main theme. It was refreshing and definitely entertaining to read.

That was so freaking creepy. The illustrations, the story, the characters, and everything were creeping-ly good. So in line with the title of the book.
The story was so fast pacing and kinda rushing. No details in the story, just the surface, enough to get the storyline going. I bet if the story were in depth and full of details, I would easily give 5 stars to this book.
The ending was cliffhanger-ish which has potential for other incoming book(s). I surely would read it if that's happening.

That was good! Teaching the kids about patience and trust the timing.
My son helped his daddy cooking all the time, so the story of this book was relatable for him. He knows not to rushing when it comes to cook and this book was all about it.
The illustrations were so good. Vibrant with colors and full of details.

The book cover already stated that this book is "a rather odd story" and indeed it was. The story, the characters, the background story, and everything about this book were rather odd or silly as my son said. This book was so silly my son laughed out loud the entire time of reading this book. He mostly laughed because the repetition of silly words and sentences used in this book. We (my son and I) think that this book was purely entertaining without any significant values which was actually fine because my son sometimes need this kind of book.
While the story was 100% entertaining, the illustrations were made by AI. The author openly disclaimered it in the beginning of the book. I usually fine-ish with author(s) using AI for their cover book(s) but for the whole illustrations, I against it. Hence, 3 stars.

Actual rating: 4,25 stars!
The last book of this series and it was so good. I felt like the author's ability to deliver the story was getting better each book. From the story alone, I think this book is the best out of other 3 books in this series.
The story had its solid plots and the suspense side of the story was great. What I didn't bother much was the BDSM (club) and consent somnophilia aspects. It was definitely personal because for now I am not into them in my books.
The relationship between Basia and Caleb was entertaining to read. Though they had pull to each other from the beginning, from previous book(s) even, they still took time to act on it, Caleb mostly.
The hint of the next series at the end of the book definitely grasped my attention. This book definitely not the last book from this author I read.

I had mixed feeling about this book. For me, the paintings were good enough, classical and simple though almost felt like bland. Yet I expected more. Definitely me problem, not the book's.
I loved the first few pages because there were detailed-ish personal explained about the paintings, but after that there were only "Hello, I am ..." and it was not my cup of tea. Again, I expected more from this book.
I think I need to agree that art is personalize. What people think is good, might not good for the rest.

Another book about Hendrix and Rocket!
In this book, the author talked about how Hendrix got frustrated and (not) channeled his frustration. We (my son and I) liked this book better than the first book we have read in this series.
Through this book, my son learned about the consequences of not controlling your anger in the right ways. Alongside with Hendrix, my son learned that it's normal and absolutely ok to get frustrated and angry at something (or someone) but the most important thing is how we present those feelings without hurting others.
The illustrations were so good. Also slightly better than another book we read from this series.

The illustrations were so good, at least for me. Artistic and giving a horor vibe. My son agreed with the horor vibe because he said the illustrations were kinda scared him.
The story was about Plumelet, a princess who arrogant and had other bad attitudes. For me the story was giving 90's vibe like when I was a kid. The story was like any others classic children's story about someone (mostly princes and princesses) who got cursed by witches because of their bad upbringing. And along the way, they find their arc redemption. Again, classic yet still very good.
My 5 years old son could easily understand the story because the words used were simple enough for him.

While the premises were good, the story was not delivered well enough.
The title is In My Mind but I felt like I didn't get enough of what's in Camilo's mind. The book just portrayed him as "weird" kid without making him special about it. The other characters also didn't support him like children's books supposed to be.
I honestly changed the story so I could read it to my son. I changed the story but still made it fit the illustrations. Because not like the story, the illustrations were good. My son (and I) loved them.

Heartwarming book for little ones who live far away from their grandma (and family).
My son related so much with this book because his Daddy's family lived around the world (literally). We currently live in Indonesia while his grandma and 2 aunts live in Canada. He has also aunts and uncles who live in the states. Another aunt lives in UK and others across Africa continent. So yes, this book was truly resonate with my son (me and my husband too). We are literally see the moon here in Indonesia while the rest of the family see the sun. Literally like this book. I think this book made my son feel seen too. This book acknowledged the distance he has with his family. But fortunately this book also encouraged my son to celebrate the distance instead of feeling sad about it.
Though the story was definitely perfect for my son, the illustrations were kinda lacking. My son (and I) didn't like the style of the illustrations much.
