For a book about movies there sure was not a lot about movies

Borrrrrinnnnnnngggggg. Also ever chapter felt like the ending to a wattpad fic imo

A slow burn for sure. I feel like maybe if I listened on audiobook I'd enjoy more but as much as I love Silvia, this one just didn't do it for it me.

To truly rate and comprehend this, I think I would need to be in an academic setting to discuss. Maybe I'll reread when I'm older and wiser

2.5 rounded up. This was sooooo good until about the 3/4 mark then it tanked so fast. The ending was absolute trash imo

Would've been a 4 star if there was no 3rd act breakup smh

More like 2.5 rounded up.
Can't believe everyone was raving about this, it's nothing special.

I'd say this was more of a 3.75 but I'll round up. Very twisty turny but also I hate everyone in it (but like in a still readable way)

Way too much going on all at once, would've been better if there was actually a solid main plotline to follow but I couldn't tell who I should actually care about - bear or Barbara

The beginning kinda dragged and by god was the ending a flop.

Maybe if millennials (specifically 90s era millennials) didn't write this and insert 8 trillion bits of pop culture references or if they had a better editor, I would've enjoyed this. The analysis on the dolls was quite mid too but the chapter on Williamsburg + the founder slayed the house down

It did not fall flat! What a great book I'd never heard of to get me out of a slump!!

Who's rating this 4 or 5 stars???? This is genuinely one of the most awful books I've listened to. I was so close to DNFing (which is very rare for me) but it's so short I suffered. Everything about this was annoying.

Way too much going on here but overall the Boone as okay

I LOVED the first book but wtf was this. I HATED Hannah get her out of here

I said I should just quit my career path to become an author so someone can write older adults correctly because apparently nobody can

The description is so misleading and I probably wouldn't have read this if the description was accurate.

Like a meld of Fall of the House of Usher and Verity. Really great, took too long to get where it needed to and the ending was all a little much for me but still worth the read

Fun, fast paced, a great ode to the genera

Everything about this annoyed me

I feel like this would've slayed so hard if I finished the heros of Olympus series and read this right after

Had to add a star for no 3rd act breakup but I genuinely hated both of them — hurts my feelings bc I love Tessa :(

All that for maybe like 7% of the book to be good? Brutal.

I wanted to like this so bad and it was just so blah so disappointed
