Like queens gambit but without the drugs and orphanages. I wanted the final chapter to be comprehensive though so :/ also third act breakup boo

I agree, my tummy also do b hurting all the time

Very touching, but I just don't think that anyone should write a memoir this early in life, there's too much more life she's going to live

I would maybe rate this higher but idk so many characters in this made me so mad. I also kinda hated the last quarter idk I just wanted to stay in the beginning.

I was so excited for this and it was hot garbage for me

Cute fun, had to lose a star because of the 3rd act breakup of course. Here's to hoping there's books about the other Devlin sisters though !!
Also what a beautiful cover truly

so there were about 10 and a half good poems in this. (For the record there are 77 poems in here - def on purpose very clever — which makes about 13% of this good)
The “titles” honestly were better than just about every poem.
Middle school me would've ATE THIS UP tho

1.) some of y'all on Goodreads are haters bc you don't understand what lit fic is as a genre
2.) justice for my girl Kennedy!!!

Excellent, phenomenal. Definitely a slow burn compared to Ace of Spades but still a wonderfully written and compelling book.

Love Amanda's writing and voice (and her other two books and her pod) sadly this one didn't hit for me as much as her other works — I think I that the a little bit memoir a little bit nonfiction/informative didn't work for me here

This def doesn't pass the bechdal test

I was reluctant at first because this doesn't seem like something I'd enjoy but boy was it beautiful— maybe I'll go read Thornton wilder now,,, I feel like it'd be right

Interesting,, fun,,, did we completely ignore AIDS here,,, yeah

The writing style of this felt like a reeeeeally long essay but boy are these some amazing mothers

Anthologies are so unbelievably hard to rate. Some of these were amazing standouts and some I downright hated (one I even had to skip through). I still feel it's worth the read though.

The book was good but the ending to both murders were absolute garbage truly.

Colleen Hoover WISHES she could write like this.

It just didn't do it for me the same way her other book did, I'm sorry. I think it reminded me too much of the worst parts of death of a bookseller

Anyone who rated this a low amount of stars isn't from wi. This is meant for people from wi and the other little cheese lovers out there but mostly wi.
Anyways I love cheese.
And this was really funny - the audiobook was excellent!

I'm sorry, it's just not what I wanted it to be

Cute sweet and wholesome just as expected

whoever said this is like when the coffee gets cold is a liar and owes me time back for this. Pretty sure I didn't catch a word of the last 1/3
