Torn
It was good but there felt to be something missing. I was left with a desire for something that even I don't understand. It was just a feeling of sorts. Like familiarity to the story and expecting something that didn't come. Not sure because I enjoyed it at the same time as it was a struggle to get through.
Hard to follow
It was intriguing but extremely hard to follow. He bounced ball and forth, which was confusing because you had a hard time. There would be the sorry then Japanese history then the story the history... Then it would repeat things that hit confusing too. Honestly, it felt disorganized. Not like a book but was it you were having a conversation with someone with ADHD during a concert was you were watching a movie and having someone cleaning directly in front of you.
Good
Not nearly as engaging or intriguing as the first two, but a good story all the same. It might have been too fast without enough details. Like how did Frank get to Station 21? Seems to lack plausibility. Don't get me wrong, it was a good story but just lacked some details that could have made it better
Too Steamy and sadly predictable.
Ok. Sex scenes work. I have nothing against them, but some of them... It was... It made no sense. I guess she was desperate but he was her former friend and just humiliated her continuously. I don't find humiliation sexy. Some of it... Yeah, hot, but most was humiliation and vulgar. Some of the sex didn't even further their plot. Just... Was there.
I knew the twists. I knew what the understandings would be. I predicted almost all of it except Lucien. Only thing that got me.
Conflicted
It had very amusing parts to it. I am never interested in raunchy sex scenes, but they weren't out of nowhere. It made sense to have them... they were just explicit and it isn't my forte. I did like it but it sort of felt like something was missing.
I don't know why, but something about it let me down.
It has a great plot that can keep you interested BUT she is a captive! A freaking captive! She wants to escape! She wants to leave! Be free! Not live in fear BUT does that stop her from begging on her knees to give one of the demons a blow job? No! Does it stop her from wanting to have sex with every single one? No! Does it stop her from masterbating? Nope!
I want to read the series BUT the sex scenes that DON'T further the plot and how her sexual desires make NO SENSE will force me to not read anymore in this series.
Descriptive
I would have given it more but some parts didn't sit right with me. ALSO it was almost overly descriptive. Like detail after detail after detail like it was being shoved down your throat. It was a pretty good series, but some of the descriptions of things almost stalled the story in some places.
It was like a list and they were not engaging the reader or the story.
