I thought this one did a really good job o highlighting queer historical figures without demonizing OR sanctifying them! They felt like real people with real issues, and historically accurate portrayals of slavery, discrimination, underage relationships, and love.

Falls under the category of “I want to strangle the MC” and the “JUST TELL HIM” vibe, but otherwise a fun read!

I liked this one, especially by the end. Some of the characters annoyed me until I got to know them better, though. Special kudos to the narrator, Avi Roque!

I feel like there could have been a story here if given more room to grow!

An interesting book with lots of different perspectives! I would say that the emphasis on work tired me out, but I loved the library scenes.

I really enjoyed this book! I enjoy especially how the plot isn't ‘I have to fix this my mental health issues or I won't be good enough' but more ‘I need my friends and family to trust me to trust myself.'

Pretty Accurate!

So, I did like this one, but it was a little hard to keep track of who was who. Every couple had a light hair boy and a dark haired boy, and the stories are short enough that I had a bit of trouble picking out which was which. I liked the stories, though, and I feel like they went together well!

Woah okay um.
That went from zero to 100 reallly quickly.
T/w rape, non con, dubious consent, underage, incest.

The first story was really funny. Self aware and silly. Then it got a little off putting, then it went full BAD TIMES.

I enjoyed this little fairy tale! I like how it changed around a lot of expectations for typical stories.

I.... Have very complicated feelings about this book. I love the concept and the writing style, and honestly the story gave me goosebumps. But it's not for everybody guys. If you're a recovering preacher's kid it can feel really overwhelming. Which isn't a bad thing, if you're prepared for it. I would just recommend abiding by those content warnings.

A little confusing at first, coming to this one right after #5, seeing as this one is chonologically before it! I figured it out, but whooo boy, I was confused. Awesome story!

This series really did surprise me. It had it's ups and down, but overall it really did please me. I fell in love with the characters, especially the ancients. I came to this series for a laugh, but now I'm sad it's over.

I remain vaguely confused as to why I'm enjoying this so much, since I'm not a big fan of steamy books. But the world building, the lore, the magic systems, and the relationships all have me immediately borrowing the next book from my library, so.

These are becoming more interesting as I go.

I'd like to preface this by saying that I got a chance to read this thanks to NetGalley in exchange for a fair review! Thanks, NetGalley!

This one was a hard read, not because of the story or artstyle, but because of the content that had me crawling in my own skin in recognition. There was a lot to see here in this story, and as an autobiographical work it seemed genuine and sharp. I'm not sure exactly if it was a read that made me feel too great, but I will be reading the second one for sure.

I really enjoyed this one's art and story, and I think it did a good job of capturing the minds of children that particular age dealing with school, parents, blossoming love, and disability. I also really enjoyed the artwork.

I'm a big fan of SW Searle, so I'll admit I try to seek out her artwork when I can. I thought this story was very fun and interesting, with just enough Victorian art and flair to give it meaning and setting without making me feel like it was another Bridgerton retelling. The trio working on this did a great job melding their art and writing styles into a cohesive story.

That was an entertaining read! I enjoyed a lot of the tropes turned down, like no infighting, no angry love triangles. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the main character's rabid self belittlement. It felt rather ‘woe is me, I suck, you don't want to notice little old me.' Other than that, I loved the story!

I've been locking forward to this one for sure, I'm a big fan of Emily Carroll's stories and artwork. This did not disappoint. A thriller of a novel with lots of twists and turns, I was never quite sure who was the villain and who was the hero. Certainly a fun read; I look forward to owning my own copy.

I liked this one, it's a good start, and I'm curious to see where the story goes. I'm not quite sure yet about where exactly the titular character's doppelganger will go with this newfound affection, but I am impressed that the best friend new immediately and didn't play dumb. I look forward to the next volume.

I loved this horror story from the perspective of a bug scientist. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun listening!
