Required reading

This should be required reading. Learning more about this actress was a revelation. Never underestimate grit and luck. Awesome book.

Beautifully descriptive writing. Man this author can write a sentence, paragraph, chapter, and story.

I didn't want this to end. It was a great, albeit disturbing read about poverty, rape, abuse of power, and prison and drugs. Although it is fiction, the story backbone is about real events.

What a book!

This book was one of the best books that I've read in a long time. It was hard to read funny, enlightening, tragic, tragic, tragic, triumphant and engrossing.

I learned a lot about the Native Americans. I learned a lot about hope and I learned a lot about forgiveness.

Fantastic book

This read more like a research paper than a novel; however, it was a great read. I can't wait to discover more about these cool sisters and the documentaries spun from this story. I'd like to think I'd have the same courage today as these young teens did then.
