I thought this would be more of a detective piece with her outfit on the cover. (Like it? You'll never see it inside the book)
They also make her straight and very bland.

There's a couple of ideas I like... I enjoy seeing anything Gotham City Sirens and they do have a call back in here. Connection to the green. I like the idea of her cabbage patch kids and the green/human hybrid. The art was decent, there especially a few cover pieces I enjoy~

Quick short story that ended up being pretty good.

The excitement to have G. Willow Wilson do a wonder woman! I loved Ms. Marvel I could not wait to see where WONDER WOMAN would be! It ended up being very meh, art is good the story is lacking. Mostly a fun book, I had a few laughs and I cringed once and a while. If you read this I highly rec. the audiobook which is narrated by Mindy~

Get the audiobook! Some portions are narrative or they have recordings of RBG~ (You'll thank me for the opera portion)

I think if you're a law student this book will really excite you. Ruth is clearly passionate and a champion for rights. If I knew more law I could more admire her cases... I still absolutely admire her, but just more! lol

I will admit, I slipped through portions of these but then would get right back into it. I especially like hearing her passions for the women and Jewish judges that made headway before her. She wants to pay proper respects to the people who encouraged her, or people she looked up to during her time growing up and practicing law.


An excellent read and my thoughts go out to her battling cancer once again (7/18/20). She has a great heart.

Hard to describe but easy to relate to. It's hard to describe what this is, a dystopian short story about finding peace, fantasy, or perhaps poetry?

Either way, give this a read for yourself. Take a journey to find inner peace around a world that is dark to light.

So, I really enjoyed the first one because I thought there was only going to be one? Since they continued it they jammed the first one with so much that there was no where to go!

Raph is the heart of the turtles, he's a hot head with a sensitive heart. In the first one they had a solid conflict of why trust batman with his family? They connect in crime alley when Batman talks with him about his family and his dedication to protect his. It's actually touching.
This one they over play Raph by having a similar thing happen with Robin, they fight, they bond over splinter's a dad and he has a dad too...ehhh. It was done and done better in the first volume.

The art is good, but the panels feel crowded. The plot already felt like it jumped the shark but might give you a moment here and there. I'm especially fond of Nightwing meeting Leo and complimenting his color scheme!

Some content warning: This book goes to describe sexual assault, pedophilia, police brutality, and suicide. If you are sensitive to these matters then probably skip this book.

What I liked about the audiobook is that it kept quotes or videos and played them instead of describing them. Any court cases things were usually reenacted.

I'm not sure what to think about this book. It captivated me enough to finish it and some made good points about the gaps of talking with strangers, the studies were good and really gave me insight.



What has left a poor taste was that he picked the most sensitive topics to talk about and seemed to apologize for the abusers? Or at least that's what I thought on several occasions... I think this book was trying to use them as examples and break down what may have happened by a miscommunication that can lead to catastrophic events and that doesn't dig deep enough. For example rape culture, police brutality, not trusting victims of sexual assault at any age, and system failures seem glossed over to me.

You'll have to read this for yourself to be the best judge. What you focus on is what I think you will get the most out of it.

The art style in this is so charming and detailed. I really felt nostalgic looking at the art in this book, does a lovely job capturing imagination!

Great book about Mister Rogers and his history - some more details in the very end of the book. Fun to explore someone who I really loved as a kid and continue to as an adult.

Did it end? Is this is how it ended? Good enough.

Even though I was hoping there would be more and it seemed like they were setting up for a longer run...then it was over! I'm still hoping they pick this up again.

A personal life type of review


I've grown up with a majority of white population rural conservative school and with white problematic family members...It's been a struggle and a relief to unlearn everything I've ever grown with. I've listening to so many more voices, come to understandings through the years, and even made some great friends and hope to make more.
I didn't realize I've plateaued in my self improvement on race until black lives matter. I'm making it a point to rise higher. I've got to learn more, listen, share, support, and get out there to make it my fight too. I really recommend this book, it's firm hand that's needed to guide those who benefit from white privilege and those in denial of it. You might feel targeted/awkward in certain segments but continue to listen/read and open your capacity for learning.Feminist? Cute book about clay friends that stretch and create themselves differently, but can they fix everything before the artist comes back? Defiantly a lot of cool and creative work done in this book!

The art in here is beautiful and detailed! Really a fun fantasy read as a surfer girl (and cat) finds herself in a siren world, welcomed and friendly! The author credits baum's book about mermaids (or the sort) and a girls adventure...I may have to read next! Fantastic!

I am sooo glad to see a vol. 2 of this series. The art is so charming and creative. The story is compelling and builds the world AND gives a great opportunity for the 3rd volume to create as well! My mind is a buzz~

I've watched the anime and really enjoyed it the book was equally enjoyable! It's also a well written and quick read. The characters are built well and the action is concise and exciting.

I'm so glad I read this, it has provided better perspective on what a feminist should include. It especially opened my eyes to the short comings on white feminism. When we have basics when so many don't. White fem. is like I got mine and seem to assume that included everyone and don't show up for others...and the white vote in 2016 was jarring.

Covers great issues to gain better understanding on gun rights, body rights, careers, and more...it's a must read.

This was good and a bit long? It seemed to pull in different directions at times where I wish it would just stay at pace.

Here's what I loved about it all the crazy history learning!

I didn't know that this was at Chicago Worlds Fair! This was exciting to learn more about because I have a necklace my great-great (maybe another great? I'm unsure) grandmother attended as a child! She was gifted this beautiful gold locket with a moon on it and a shimmery diamond star - it even has a dent in it because she chewed on it as a child.

It always blows my mind that historical figures can meet? Like Buffalo Bill and Susan b Anthony? We have a Buffalo Bill museum locally i'm keen on visting now. Additionally, I've been to Cody so that was cool to learn about after too.

Learning about h.h. holmes was definitely chilling, when I always thought of the worlds fair was always something grand - like the Olympics- so having him in the mix of it was tragic.

Interesting times, great book!

Written to honor her great-grandmother and Juneteenth! An excellent story of how things can change in a day and freedom to be had. This was my first Juneteenth book i've read and it was a great place to start to learn about the holiday

A great book to read for Juneteeth. A child upset at having little control over her bedtime and a father who uses this as a teaching moment. This book reminds us of the struggle of slavery, the fight for civil rights, and most importantly to remember and continue the forward momentum that is to be celebrated!

Not as good as the first, but this will give you a couple of answers to some questions...but not the really really interesting ones! This book goes by rather quickly so I would say if you read the first one you might as well read this one to finish it up.

This is less of a self-improvement read. It's less of the power of habit for yourself and more like well researched examples of how habits utilized have helped companies and have an impact of individuals. I will admit a couple of these are interesting, I think if this was abridged I would enjoy this even more.

Read the first couple of chapters and if you like it, then you'll probably like the whole book! I kept on reading hoping the chapters would have more personal advice but It never gave me what I was searching for.

Decent read!

I feel like Michelle McNamara would have been proud to see the killer caught. An interesting read.

I didn't realize how much I needed right now. The years 2016 - 2020 have been especially hateful and I guess I've had the general longing for something... and it turns out the longing is for superheroes and didn't really realize it until after reading this. This is one of my ideal superman stories, the reason I love him so much is because he inspires us in fiction and stretches out to real life. Superman smashes the Klan is based on the old superman radio show where he faced off against the klan! Now its more relevant than ever and once again superman is a beacon of hope shines off the pages.

I love the character development in this, I love the art, I love the old timey superman era. I love superman learning something from kids and kids looking up to superman for inspiration...I just love this ok?

Ahh, so cute ~ A little cheer leader named dewdrop encourages their friend's efforts as they all participate in a community sporting type event. The art is so cute and colorful, you can always expect some amazing pieces from Katie O'Neill~

I also love how recently there's always more educational stuff included at the end of their stories. Really great.
