Wanted to like it more than I did. Got spent lost at one point which I found frustrating

Really enjoyed. Not as much as satsuma but id happily take another in the series

Didn’t hit the heights of I’m thinking of ending things but still one of the favorite things I’ve read this year

Reading this as an audiobook on my morning walk guarantees I’ve looked like a lunatic for the last week. Grinning ear to ear. Chuckling to myself.

End has me hooked for the next one but have to admit the whole story didn’t get me like mr Mercedes

Possibly the best book I've read this year. It is haunting, genuinely disturbing and perversely graphic but its core philosophical exploration is one that will stick with me a long long time.

First in the 87th precinct series I've found a bit of a slog. Possibly just in a reading slump but didn't find this one as engaging and the plot was quite scattered

One of the best psychopaths in fiction. Somehow still hilarious

Loved this. Great characters. Genuinely unsettling at times. Can't wait to read the rest. The two pov structure gave it a great pace.

As usual great characters. Could listen to them chirp on at each other forever. Dialog never fails to make me smile

Just can't seem to get on with this series. I'll give it one more book. I knew to get past the first as it's often said it's very very different than the rest - and it is - but still didn't love this. Possibly struggling with it as an audiobook so will try read the next one.

Absolutely loved this. Character first action thriller. Buddy and ike will be seared into my memory for a long time to come. Would make an incredible movie or tv show. Full of action. Full of emotion and full of wit n grit. Pure 5 star read. Couldn't put it down

I'll be honest I found this exceptionally dull but I've heard the first book is very different from the others and wanted to push through it so I could get involved in the king multiverse. Who knows if it was worth the time
