These were a lot of fun.

I love Mindy Kaling's writing. One day maybe I'll even watch one of her TV shows. :)

I loved this. It gave me a different perspective on Jane Eyre, for sure. I got such a yucky feeling because of the adultery, and then I realized that must have been how Jane felt about almost being married to someone who was already married. I would never have fully understood that without this book.

Yuck. I got about 1/4 of the way through this without even once smiling. No humor at all, no feeling for the characters or their “dilemmas” no enjoyment of the stilted writing.

I'll admit, I skimmed. I've read lots of books like it, I guess, but I do agree that it's a great message.

This book was near perfect, and, spoiler alert, I was really happy that everything worked out. I get tired of “serious” authors who feel like everyone has to die for it to be a serious book.

A fun read from a fun author.

This was a near-perfect book. It had everything–humor, characters you loved, happiness, romance, heartbreak, horrible experiences that people survived by being good people, etc. I keep saying I'll never read another WW I book, but I guess I just did. I hope there's going to be a sequel.

I would have enjoyed this more if I hadn't already heard the whole plot during an interview with the author. OTOH, I probably could have predicted the major plot points. I still enjoyed it, and it had a few very funny moments (“excuse my French” “I am also fluent”)

I could tell this was going to be one of those supremely annoying books written by a man about a man who keeps making more and more poor choices as his life falls apart around him. I just wasn't in the mood.

This was quite funny and entertaining, if a bit pointless.

I loved this book. It was really interesting, hilarious, and just darn good fun. I read it as a free download from Net Galley, but I'm going to buy the book (so I can see the pictures!).

I really enjoyed this a lot, though I'm a sucker for the “orphan finds a family” genre.

This book was so strange and trance-like. I was never sure if the things in it were really happening or not, but I think they were. I liked it a lot.

A bit stranger than her other books. Fairly disturbing.

So glad I picked this up for Andrew. We had both almost given up on kids' fantasy because it's so predictable and annoying (i.e., “what, you mean I, the humble main character of this book am the only one who can save the world?”). But this was just great. It took the story of Rapunzel and filled it out without changing it. The main characters were really wonderful. Nothing was predictable, but everything felt really, really right when it happened. We can't wait for the sequel. And what's the secret about Prince Frog? I must know!!

I hated this book. I could only get about 1/4 of the way through. I'm just done reading about alcoholic jerks.

I really liked all the different stories. It was like reading 3 books at the same time.

I really enjoyed this book. It was suspenseful and well-written. I sympathized with the main character, and wanted him to succeed!
