Leading up to the end I thought I might be rating this a 4.5 - ambitious, but not quite executing up to the incredible standards of the previous books. But the ending turned that all around.

4.5 of 5 stars. Wow, what a different experience than the movie! Glad I read the book after, which is odd for me (usually I read the book first). So glad to have two more books to read in this world.
