I loved this. Full of the best type of angst!!

A second chance, teacher/student, MM romance.

I was so curious to learn about why Derek and Jordan were always at odd with each other after seeing them in Finley's book 1 in this series.
There was a lot of time jumps but overall this was done very well. I almost needed more but it was also the perfect length without getting too much.

Jordan is who is is and won't apologize for it. Derek is a tough guy with a grumpy exterior just trying to make it through the day. He leaned on Jordan during a tough time, and they kind of never gave that up. Years passed and still Jordan was the light in his life. His person to lean on and help share Derek's burdens.

This was wonderful and beautiful and a good representation of opposites and learning how to communicate feelings.

Very adorable!! A cute kind of second chance romance, with hints of pining and insta love.

The Morgan brothers are always a fun time, especially in paradise.

VERY good second chance romance.

I loved seeing the quiet side to Finn, compared to his cocky Chicago side we saw in the “temptation” series.

A lot of angst as neither got over each other, but when Finn comes back to town to “get Brantley out of his system” they find their way and decide to fight for their partnership.

Age gap, MM, professor/student

Could not put this down. Addicting. Phenomenal. As is the entire series.

Absolutely loved this. Play boy turned simp, roommates with benefits to lovers.
Jaxon is so damn sweet and thoughtful I love him with my entire heart!!!! Like the small gestures to show he sees Lennon and cares about her.

I also am obsessed with “annoying each other” being a love language

And he didn't feel good enough for anyone after being traded so often so he didn't want to put down roots. My heart ACHES for him.

This found family of crazy friends never ceases to amaze and entertain me.

A nice conclusion (glad it's over)

They kind of went rogue white knight trying to solve problems like they were law enforcement which felt odd.

Why is everything I'm reading ending on a cliffhanger

Hate to say it but this series has too much sex. It's hot but by the end of book it was too much and I was skimming.

That being said. Still love Logan and his sweetness. Love Tate and his bossy side

Surprised and impressed!
Very insta love but super cute, wish a couple dashes of spice.

Jonas was soooo sweet in a cocky type of way.
Very philosophical and swoony. A man who knows what he wants and goes for it. He literally hacked a university website to find this girl.

Really enjoyed seeing Logan's vulnerable side.

Full of spice and sincere moments!

Sometimes it was cringe but it was also extremely cute.

Very light hearted considering we talk about grief and losing a spouse a lot.

Colby and the Morgan brothers were very fun, loyal and full of energy.

I didn't realize I started a book that was already inside the authors universe, so I'll have to go back and read in timeline order ☺️

A very dark, morally gray, cowboy BDSM romance.

Generally unsure how I feel. It was good, and I knew it would be dark going into it but I don't think I vibed with this.

Gerard takes what he wants and his word is law. But he isn't mean. He has his dark kinky taste. He wants Kiera so he does the needful so that she has to be his. He doesn't really give her a choice it just is.
Same with the sex part. There was consent and safe words but he basically just told her they were going to save sex and be in a dom/sub relationship

Yes this book was full of spice, but I find these characters mildly toxic.

Logan is bisexual, and has his sight set on the straight bartender Tate.
Tate flirts with all the customers, but they both take it a step further. Logan is very suggestive and straight forward and says he wants Tate. Tate declines. But Logan keeps pursuing even after Tate said no a couple times.

This entire book is within a span of 3 weeks or something?

Logan is persistent, and he and Tate take things kind of slow sexually. Logan is aware of the inexperience so there is a lot of kissing and dirty talk and hand/mouth things. Which I enjoyed a lotttttt. Loved the dirty talk on both.

Logan was pushy for Tate to say yes. Tate kind of didn't resist. Tate wanted to keep the relationship “secret” but then if someone touched or flirted with Logan he got jealous. Logan was mad that Tate wanted to keep things secret but to be fair, Tate was straight until two weeks ago so naturally it'll take time for him to process and handle coming out. And Logan was a player before so yes it makes sense he wanted to see if it was real before he came out.

This ended on a cliffhanger but is definitely not a series that is bingeable for me. I plan to follow the authors universe timeline from her site to read what is intended to go next.

All that to say, they were toxic but I liked it a lot

Really enjoyed! A nice second chance romance, marriage in crisis type. It was a nice change from the normal tropes in this universe.

Mack was such a sweetie and cared SO much but is a people pleaser at heart so he finds it hard to stand up for himself.
A lot of buildup led to a cute finale of this DMC series.

Very cute, fun, and light hearted. A touch too long but had a lot of fun reading this.

Leo was surprisingly sweet and caring as more than just a Dom. Always thinking of things to be quietly helpful.

Age gap, grumpy sunshine, fake dating/fiance, daddy kink (obviously), deals with going through grief,

This series did not need to be 3 books. It was way too long - a duet would have perfectly sufficed.

The smut was good, but the FMC was again whiney and just not likeable.

Lucas and Mateo kind of saved this book for me. If it wasn't for them, would have been a DNF.

How was a forbidden relationship so boring.

I feel Will wearing a hat so much was supposed to be hot. But it was weird and sometimes he was totally naked except for the hat??? And then Keller would take it and put it on himself? Weird.

3.5

Art made this book what it is. If it was anyone else I wouldn't have enjoyed it.

I loved the flirting and the banter between him and Joey, but on the other side of it I think Joey pushed the flirting too far at times when art kind of said he didn't want to do it.

I think Art is a good person, he is so protective of his niblings, and his friends. He cares for his people so deeply.

Absolutely devoured this. West is the PERFECT man and a wonderful dad. I love his little kiddos so much and he's so great with them it warms my heart. He is hot AF, only has hand tattoos? (I think), thick thighs, and ribs/banters to show love. My kinda guy.

Skylar is looking for a quiet place to rest and she runs into her number one fan with west. Her journey in Rose Hill seemed very healing and restful which was the ultimate goal. Falling in love with a little family was the cherry on top.

I felt so much love and emotion with this. I loved their chemistry. Even though West was a fan of her, he treated her like a person and never as anyone different which Skylar needed.

Low key disappointing.
Lydia never stopped crying and whining

The spice was good but overall was a yawn. And another cliff hanger ...? So much of the drama could have been cut out and I'm better this could have been a 2 part series instead of 3.

Ford is such a charming flirt!!! He's so fun and light.

And Orson, who is “straight” but can't help to banter with him.

Loved their chemistry and natural friendship.

Oooo really good omegaverse RH romance.

The drama/conflict or suspense was interesting, and the CONSENT!! Very attractive.

Forgot it ended on a cliffhanger.

Looooved Irish Rhett. So swoony and confident.
Charming Mateo!

I hope we see more of Beta Lucas and prime Alpha Alexandra in the next one

Good lord we had way too much with Poppy. I know she was a big part of his life but jeez we are moving on. She had way too much say (even if she didn't say anything) and just haunted Griff.

And where was the funny and cute Griff from book 1?!
I get the divorce was a big life change but he had no self confidence I was shocked.

Happy to see seeds of Franklin U with his son Felix.

While I really enjoyed the writing and emotion in this, age gaps where one of the MC is a teenager gives me the ick.

As much as I was rooting for the couple, I agree with Tara that it was a bit crazy. Halley went from an abusive household to her best friends home. Reed (best friends dad and “foster moms” ex) was just there. Halley never had a father figure in her life so naturally she's going to latch onto the first one who is kind.

I liked that we got to see the true beginning middle and end of this relationship. I kept expecting a big time jump but was pleasantly surprised that JH was thorough with their story.

Didn't do anything for me.

Payne was just an asshole most of the time. And beau's pining for 20 years is borderline sad.

While Ranger is clearly a direct rip of Spencer from criminal minds, I enjoyed this a lot.

The chemistry between ranger and Sydney was off the charts. Their spicy moments were perfect. She loved him for exactly who he was and never made him feel less than.
