Considering how long this book was, it was a whole lot of nothing.
There was cute moments and lines here and there but overall a huge let down.
The TAB was so stupid and messy and hypocritical. Like I get it he promised he wouldn't race but it was just weird.
I really didn't feel chemistry between Asher and Scarlett. The begging was great but it fell off really quickly and was blah the rest of the time
There was tension when Vincent was in town but after he left it was like it disappeared so the forbidden aspect vanished.
Maybe I'm being too critical but for how hyped this book was, and how much I liked her other books, I expected more
Best friends to lovers MM.
I felt that once penn realized his feelings for Madden, it was 0 to 200 real quick. Straight to needing Madden.
I liked how supportive Penn was of Madden's nudist and naturalist-ness
They work together, are best friends, but penn still feels lonely. But he doesn't make an effort to get to know the Bertha house boys and resents madden for being around them sometimes.
It was very humanizing of him and I like seeing them work through that. Even if the jealousy was childish.
It was cute and fluffy, considering we touched on the topic of grief.
I liked the age gap, summer fling, grumpy sunshine vibes.
I feel like they threw the Lacey underwear, nail polish, and lip gloss thing in there without really getting into it. Like would have liked hearing more about it but it was giving “oh I wiggled my painted toes in the grass” and “I saw his lace when he bent over” I wanted a bit more with that
Zoomed right through this.
Loved rush and Hunter!!!!
Rush was always quirky and absent minded in previous books, but he's so sweet. And so loyal. Loves his people in big Bertha. Can't help but want to give him a hug.
While he met Hunter in ideal circumstances the two compliment each other so so well.
Hunter is his calm.
3.5 rounded up.
I liked Reed, but I don't think Lila deserved him. He's way too good. He was so so sweet and charming. A total teddy bear.
I understand Lila's insecurities but she put a lot of it on him, and it wasn't fair.
A lot of nice callbacks to the previous books and characters, nice to see them again and grown up.
Mixed feelings. I really really loved Miller, and I want nothing more than for him to be happy.
That being said, I felt like Delane kind of misled him with their “lessons”. After learning she is also a virgin, I'm curious as to why she wanted to give him sex lessons when she didn't know much herself? And a cock cage as lesson 2, after lesson 1 being kissing??? That was wild.
I get it was a fem-Dom romance so I expected her to be more dominant, but her having no experience kind of felt off.
This one I am unsure about. I enjoyed it. It was very good in the end, but I had a hard time getting into the beginning.
It was a dark mafia book without ever really explaining the mafia aspect, which was a vibe. It was all enemies. Barely any benefit. Shelved with no third act breakup because they aren't even really together
Morana was a woman who knew her worth and wasn't a damsel. Which I loved, and felt relatable. She took no shit but played the part of mafia boss daughter well.
Tristan Caine can GET IT. His sex appeal and those eyes.
The knife to the throat??? It was a lot but overall a very good dark romance.
So. Sweet. Atticus doesn't say much but he thinks before he speaks so you know he means his words.
It was wonderful to see him Goldie, bright and positive personality, work through his grumpy and greasy exterior to find the softie underneath.
A lot of mental health rep, and working on yourself before you're reading to work at a relationship.
Later in life (meaning late 30s early 40s).
I thought this was SO GOOD.
Some parts repetitive, but I really really enjoyed.
I liked that neither MC was perfect. They had flaws and worked together to be better. Like yes Beck had her trust issues and doubts and sensitivities but Beau was always there. Even when he was hurt or angry he was there.
It felt very healthy, even with Beck trying to sabatoge things on occasion (consciously or not)
And Beau was so cute and sweet and swoony. And KINKY!!!
Loved loved loved.
