I have been waiting for this book since we learned about Tanner from a previous book. He wasn't called Daddy Tanner for no reason.
Tanner has always been the quiet, pensive one of the group. You could always tell that there was something going on in his head, but he was never going to tell what was going on or what happened without a very good reason for the beans to be spilled.
Grace is such a beautiful person and she had big plans for herself to be a big designer. She unfortunately found out that life doesn't always work out the way we plan for ourselves. But I love that she always finds a way for herself in situations that she didn't see herself in.
These two had soooo much chemistry. A 5 year age gap isn't that big of a difference in my opinion, and it's not like they haven't known each other their whole lives. Who knew watching a sexy movie would awaken a whole new side to both characters?

These scenes definitely gave me a run for my Superbowl Money HONEY 🤑🤑🤑
I had my hand 🪭 fanning myself throughout these scenes. I was like woooo girl.
Everything that is done in the scenes between these characters are completely CONSENSUAL.
There are some VERY sexy scenes in this book. Please be aware of this when reading!
I love that these two are able to come together even after some time and work through so much. It definitely takes a lot from each person to be able to work through their own issues to come back to each other, but it is so worth it in the end when you are made for each other.
I received a complimentary copy via the author. All opinions are my own, honest and voluntary.
Potions and Proposals turned out to be so much more than I expected. I was expecting a sweet romance with some magic involved. But there were some funny, sexy, swoon worthy, awe worthy, and some moments that I down right gasped.
Lucinda and Benedict went from childhood friends to much more in a short amount of time thanks to their families and some good hearted pranks they couldn't help themselves from pulling.
I loved getting to know Lucinda, Lucy, and how much she loved wearing her colorful wardrobe, translating in the Library that she shared with her best friend, Rosie. Lucy had spent her childhood in a prank war with Benedict from the Matheson family within town. She didn't know how much she would get to know him when they would be set to be bound when they both refused to let either take the lead for the Coven leader. I loved seeing her walk in his shoes and see a different side to him. Not just the aidee she had always seen it him. The side that she had chosen to see. There was so much more that she didn't know about Benedict but she was able to learn in that short amount of time
Lucinda took a deep breath and rested her hands on his chest. He was sure she could feel his hammering heart. “It could never have been anyone other than you, even if the potion had worked as intended. It still would've been you. I'd rather spend the rest of my life bickering with you than at peace with anyone else. I've never had to be perfect with you. I don't have to be a Hawthorne – with you I'm just Lucinda,” she confessed, placing her hand on his cheek. The love in her touch overwhelmed his senses. His lips crashed onto hers.
This was such a short and sweet beachy little rom com! I loved that it wasn't long but you got so much in such a short story!
Dee Dee and Sunny were meant for each other but unfortunately didn't realize it until much later. But with wisdom comes clarity and Dee Dee and Sunny were able to see where they were able to grow and mature.
Dee Dee was able to see where she wanted to be in her life away from Concordia and her mother's wants in her life. Sunny knew his mistake after she left. He just didn't know he would ever be able to right his wrong 9 years later.
I loved these two together. They were perfect together. I loved that they were willing to go the extra mile for each other that they weren't able to when they were younger!
I absolutely love Mia as a writer. She always brings the joy, tears and excitement when it comes to her books. These don't always hit me as a cozy mystery, until they do. When you finally realize you are in a small town with these characters you're like well she really did it again. She blew my mind, once again. The first book I devoured, this book I ate up once I really had the chance to sit down and read.
This was a much heavier book than her first one which she discussed at the beginning but I still loved it. I also loved that she mentioned MS in the book. It didn't play a huge part, but it played a big enough part that it was mentioned from Bernadette's dad. I hope that enough people will educate themselves on it and learn something. I have MS and not near enough people know what it is. I like educating people but their eyes glaze over and they tune out.
I loved the love triangle within the storyline because it kept it interesting. I loved seeing how much her family loved each other. So much so they fought hard and loved even harder. I loved her though process when she was cooking, trying to solve a crime and when she was thinking in general.
I loved getting to see her joint venture come together with her friends. I liked that they are truly making a business of all the things that they love and are also great at doing.
I absolutely cannot wait to see where the next book takes me in this journey she calls life with all of these characters.
I was so excited when I saw that this book came out it was an immediate download. Nikki is a writer than I can never not read. She sucked me in when I first read the beginning of the series of the retelling the first first darling one and her men on Neverland.
I am so glad that we finally get to see the side of Roc that I have been dying to see. I've always wanted to see the side of Roc that he didn't show. I loved the vicious side, but seeing the side that no one else sees was the sweetest. I loved seeing how much he cared for Hook and Wendy. How he always had these feelings but always had to make sure that he kept them inside because he wasn't supposed to show his weaknesses.
Seeing Hook as more than just the vicious Pirate we have always seen his as was bittersweet. I enjoyed the side of him that showed his tender side and how much he cared for Roc and Wendy. But also how much he cared for his father, even though is father failed to care for him. I enjoyed getting to know his backstory. I loved being able to see how he became the man he was and how that can help shape the man he could be in the future with Roc and Wendy by his side.
Wendy, Wendy, Wendy. The queen, the lost woman of these men and so much more. I'm so glad that we got to see Wendy as more than just a idolized woman these people have thought and dreamed about. We got to see the real person and who she really is. We got to see who she had become but also learned the real truth about what happened all that long ago and where she had been. Also who has been by her side.

🌶️🌶️🌶️ STEAMY- If it's not for you- Skip Through
This had two amazing scenes in the book. There were a little spread out so they weren't close together. There was some other talk of sexual attraction.
I absolutely ate this book up. As I always do with Nikki's books. Especially within the Peter Pan Retelling World. I will never get enough of this world. I cannot wait to read more!!
I enjoyed getting to know Belle, Bixby, Lucas and Lexie throughout this cozy mystery.
Belle was definitely not the main character that you see the most in cozy mysteries. I loved that the author brought to life a character that you don't see often. She brought on someone that needed something the most. Someone that not everyone could always relate to but someone out on the world could relate to based on her circumstances.
I could relate to Belle because of how her brain worked. My brain also works how hers does. I felt for Belle when she felt alone after her aunt passed. She truly felt like she had no one. I was so glad when Bixby was able to step in and show her that she wasn't alone.
I loved that she called Lucas sexy when she was talking to him. I giggled after she said it to him. I couldn't help it 🤣. I loved that Belle was able to connect with Lexie on another level that only they understood each other. Lexie struggled with her parents being gone and Belle truly understood that struggle.
I'm not going to lie I definitely wasn't expecting expecting Belle to go out on her own to do detective work! She is one brave soul! She definitely took it into her own hands! Lucas has his hands full with her when I comes to a partner for sure! I'm glad that she was able to get some closure but I hope that she takes some precautions in the future to keep her more put of danger!
I can't wait to see where this storyline goes with these characters in the upcoming books!
I enjoyed Kinsley and Hayden's story but I have to say not as much as I have everyone else's. I was really hoping I would have loved this more, especially with Kinsley being more woo woo than everybody else.
I absolutely love that Lyra adds a little bit of herself into each book and I'm so glad to see that this is a piece of her that we get to see. So often authors don't let their readers get to know them in such a personal way, but I love that Lyra let's us into her world a little bit more each book.
I love Kins as a character. She is such a great supporting character in the other books so when it came to her turn I was so excited. I enjoyed being able to see her side of what happened between her and Hayden 10 years ago for her to not want his name uttered around her. My heart went out to her, because love can be so complicated when your dreams are involved. Sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder. You have to see what your missing to know what you have.
Hayden Hayden Hayden. He has been away for 10 years and had been through it. Unfortunately by his own making. He has been with someone who has made his life miserable. Good thing is he is able to see what he has been missing when he comes back home. His family and friends are there to support him in his time of need. But he sees what he has been missing out on in his life. Love and Kinsley.
I love who Kinsley and Hayden are separately but I also love who they are together. They are so complimentary together. They work so well together. There are no huge differences that make it hard for them to coexist.

Voyeurism, backdoor, public play
This was a different type of spice that I was so excited to see in Lyra's books!! I loved that there was a different kind of spice for these two!
Beckham and Summer couldn't have been more perfect for each other. I absolutely loved these characters.
A cowboy and cowgirl who have known each other their whole lives and have had feelings for each other? YES, PLEASE! I love a good hate to love romance story but when you pair it with some cowboy/cowgirls that only makes it better.
Beckham being a sibling of so many brings so much character to the story because it shows that he has had to care for more than just himself. Beckham acts as if he doesn't like Summer but you can see in his heart that be cares for Summer. He shows he cares for her in his actions even if he isn't always the best at showing it in his words before they go on a date.
I love that Summer has so much spunk in her and she refuses to just lay down and let Beckham do and have whatever he wants. I just want to pump my fist in the air and say girl power when she stands her ground!
I love that she stands her ground but I also love that when they are finally able to come together they have that spice that works for them. He knows what works for her and vice versa.
Let's Talk About 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Baby: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
🌶️🌶️🌶️ STEAMY- If it's not for you- Skip Through
This has some great scenes! By the fire, in the hay loft in the barn, in the B&B and a few other places. This definitely was a spicy book full of places where they could have been caught! I lived that they weren't scared!
I absolutely cannot wait to see where else their love takes them!!
This book was more enjoyable than the first by far. I enjoyed Sasha as a character more than I did Nikolai. But I wish we could have gotten to know Sasha more. On a deeper level, rather than a basic level of how he wants her sexually.
Like we get it, she's hot and young. But there has to be more there than a young hot girl for a relationship to last.
I actually liked Leah throughout the book. Except when she decided that being dishonest about her past was a smart idea. Like c'mon. You ran for a reason. Let's get our wits about ourselves. This is when the writing loses me. Let's not write these women to be such dimwits. Let's give them some smarts and honesty when they are at their worst.
These characters were lacking in personality. In both books that I have read they are lacking in personality. I find that very odd. When you are writing a character you want them to have their character traits so that you as a reader can relate to them as a person.
There is just nothing to keep me coming back to this series and I honestly don't think that I would come back to this author unless she was able to make a huge change in her writing.
This was a slow going book for me. I tried to love this book. I wanted to love this book. This is usually a book that I would DEVOUR. I think the writing just wasn't it for me.
I think if the writing would have been more developed for me, I would have enjoyed this and sailed through this book. I could have loved it more. But I also didn't loved our Female Main Character. She was ungrateful. She obviously didn't get that her circumstances weren't compatible for life above ground.
Sienna obviously wasn't a character that I liked. I wanted to like. I tried to like her. But she consistently opened her mouth and things continued to fall out that showed how much she truly didn't grasp her situation or how much Nikolai did for her. Nikolai should have let her go on her own long ago when she started to complain about everything. Then she could truly understand her dire situation.
I just couldn't find the will to care by the end of the book.
1 MILLION/10 WOULD RECOMMEND
Charlie Donlea never lets me down when it comes to his writing. Every single one of his books has sucked me in and wouldn't let me go. I'm not going to lie, I love every single page that has enthralled me.
This story engaged me in every way possible. It hooked me from the first sentence and I couldn't help but keep reading so that I could see what happened. Charlie has a way with words that sucks me in and just keeps rolling me farther and farther into his book than I can't seem to get out of even if I wanted to.
This story hit me hard in the chest. It is like so many stories that touch so many people in the world, a family goes missing with an innocent child missing at the center of it all. As a true crime junkie myself, I immediately needed to know more. But the further I got in the book and got to know Sloane I had to know what happened. I wanted to know where she would be in everything now. How this family would emerge and stand today.
But boy I didn't expect for everything to unfold the way that it did. I loved the intrigue, the mystery, the unknown. I couldn't put this down and I'm so glad I didn't. I'm just sad that it ended when it did. I am really hoping that this book is an opening of a series with Sloane as our main character. I know he hasn't had a main character over several books before aka a series but I would love to see him flesh out Sloane more and see where he takes her!!
I received this book as a recommendation from some friends and I was like say less. Well, I said less and picked it up.
I struggled through the first 50% because it was going at a snails pace for me. It started to pick up a little bit, but nothing was really grabbing me. Things really starting popping off at 71% and kept going through till the end.
I think maybe it was the writing or maybe it was just me. But this book just wasn't something that I loved. I barely tolerated it. I stopped at 50% and 71% then again at 88% ans decided to finish it because I wanted to see how it ended and I was so far in. I read the last half of the book on a day that I wasn't feeling good but I'm not giving the book a pass just because of that.
I don't like to read books that make me feel as disoriented as the characters. That is never a fun time. I have enough of that in my real life. I don't want that when I pick up a book to get away from my real life.
The ending was less than spectacular. The author left it as if there could be a sequel. He is obviously a fan of sequels based on the 10 that were in the book. He obviously didn't get the memo that not all sequels are made equal. And they usually aren't good.
After finishing this I almost didn't know what to think. My flabber was fasted. My heart was full to a point but it was broken the rest of the way. There was so much that could have been said and done to prevent some things but not all.
My feelings were all over the place for these characters. At times I was sad and others I was happy. I feel like this book gives you all the emotions and definitely all of the scenarios to have every emotion.
I love this series and all of the characters that it brings with it. They bring so much to the town and I love coming back each book.
You never know who will show up or what will happen when Nightmare AZ comes alive. I love Olivia as a character. She has so much more cool than I could ever have when it comes to people that have wronged her in the worst way. She was way nicer than I could have even been.
I can't help but root for her and Damian because they would make a great couple. They already make a great team, because of how well their powers work together. I think they were meant for each other. They are just struggling to admit it to themselves and each other.
I couldn't have been more surprised by who came back and more frustrated that she didn't say something to stick up for herself. But I'm glad that Damian did.
I am beyond surprised to learn what Baxter was and am so intrigued to see where the journey takes us to him!
As much as I enjoy a cozy magical mystery this was just meh. I've read better. I wouldn't continue this series based on what I just read because there wasn't enough there to keep me reading. I feel as if there was some romance thrown in at the end to try to keep you engrossed enough to come back to the series to pick up the next book. Because there was nothing of the sort for the entirety of the book.
The MC was treated as if she wasnt wanted in the first place, even though they needed her to find out what was going on. This series could use some help when it comes to some of the characters and some of the writing. If throwing the last bit of a hail Mary at the end of the book to save it is how you write a book, then these are the books I won't be reading, ever.
I went into this book with ZERO expectations. The way I love to go into book these days. And I'm so glad that I did. Because I was able to immerse myself into the voice of the narrators as they told the story of these characters.
These characters gave me so much through these words. Feelings ran amok throughout this story. You couldn't help but feel the emotion that came through the intonation through the narrators voice.
I couldn't help but be engrossed throughout the whole story and fall even farther for these characters.
“Gods, this woman is going to be the death of me. I stroked my tongue against hers and she let out the sexiest rasp of breath I had ever heard. That sound was definitely going to be on repeat in my dreams.”
I was beyond elated when I got the email that I was selected as apart of Hailey's release team for this book. From the first sentence of the synopsis I wanted to get my eyes on this book. Not just to stare at the beautiful cover, but also to indulge on what was inside the pages. I have been wanting to get into cozy fantasy and I knew that this was what I wanted to start with.
I'm so glad that I was able to start here. It gave me the cozy vibes and the perfect amount of grumpiness from both characters. I loved that both of the main characters had so much to give to each other.
Just when you think that things can't get any better, things kick up a notch and the spice kicks in! 🌶️🌶️.5 on the SPICOMETER 🔥🔥🔥
These two couldn't have been more perfect for each other. I loved their interactions and I can't wait to see where this community goes in future books!
Thank you so much to Hailey for the complimentary copy! All opinions are my own, honest and voluntary.
As much as I love this series because it has become as comfort series for me, the solving of the crime hasnt been there for me. Where In the past Noelle and gang are usually all up in the business solving the crime, they aren't solving them as hands on as much.
Granted they are involved, because whoever is involved seems to find her and involve her because they feel as if it's her fault that things have happened the way they have. She seems to always be the center of trouble even when she has nothing to do with it.
But I can't say I didn't love this book. This was another winner winner chicken 🐔 dinner in my book. Once again I loved getting to see more of how much Noelle and her family grows within their witchy powers. It always amazes me how they change and grow! I can't wait to see the next changes in the upcoming books!
I can't forget to mention how much I love seeing the living impaired community! They give so much to these books. Granted it is about Noelle and her family, but they are family and the books wouldnt be the same without them!
Noelle and her whole gang of magical family and friends never disappoint when it comes to a good time!
This one definitely took me on a wild goose chase of looking for the real culprit of who did what to who! While looking for the whodunnit it also have us more background on Noelle and her family along with more info on some more people in town!
I loved getting to see more about Noelle and how her family came to be as strongly magical as they have become. I loved being able to go to the BBQ competition with Noelle, Hunter and the whole gang and seeing what its all about. There is nothing more fun than being included with people you count as family.
I am so excited to see how Noelle develops more with her magic and where it takes her!
Keyhole Lake is one of my absolute favorite places to go to when I want to escape. This bite sized Valentine's Day read was the perfect laugh!
I love that there is always something going on here! I can't count the amount of times that I laughed out loud while reading this.
I can't wait to read more!
Coming back to this fun universe with Noelle was such a comfort. I didn't realize how much I missed being in this realm!
I definitely wasn't expecting to get as many laughs as I did with this story, but I was so glad that I did. It was definitely needed! There is nothing I love more than picking up a cozy mystery than falling back into a familiar setting that I have fallen in love with previously. This is definitely the one I always want to come back to over and over again.
It reminds me a lot of my home town and it always makes me feel as if I'm in a place close to home, but better because it has magic.
Noelle always has a way of bringing out the best in people and really did in this book. Gabi had a rough time when she lost her surrogate mama and Noelle knew exactly how to help her when she needed it.
Noelle is the best friend, sister and everything all wrapped in one that everyone needs in their life. Except she has magic!
I loved this story and loved getting to know Gabi and getting to see even more of Bobbi Sue! I loved that she was able to get the big surprise that she got and I can't wait to see where that leads in the future books!
When I read the synopsis of this I thought this was going to be a different book. I got a few things from the synopsis but not what I was expecting. This read much slower for me than I was hoping and had a hard time wanting to finish. But finish I did. I'm glad that I did, because there was a great little surprise towards the end, BUT that doesn't change my mind on the book.
I went into this book with high hopes thinking we would get to see more about the club and a romance built inside the club. We got to see all about the club, but not about the romance. It was more about Izzy and how wrapped up she was in her head. That is where she stayed. The WHOLE BOOK.
I get it. I am neurospicy. I overthink everything. But I don't want the whole book to be about that. I came to read about a SPICY ROMANCE. There was NO ROMANCE to be found. There was plenty of spicy scenes. I will give the book that. But there wasn't any romance. I don't think this should be tauted as a romance if there isn't any. A few touches here or there as he shows a little affection isn't romance.
Romance would entail showing or talking about how she feels about Max. Or Max talking about how he feels about Izzy. There were no real conversations to themselves or each other about those feelings. I felt like we were supposed to just automatically figure out those things based on what little bit we were given.
I feel like this book was very underwritten. There wasn't enough development put into it. You can't just throw some spicy scenes into some a rich girls world and expect it to work with giving that girls world more context than what we were given.
There is nothing I love more than a Mafia Romance. Then add in childhood sweethearts with some enemies to Lovers?? I'm in!! That is exactly what you are getting with this book!
Leonie and Dom are children of two families who have been steeped in familial ties for years. Bound not only in business but also in tragedy. They took what could have been the worst time and made the best of their circumstances.
Leonie and Dom were the two storms that were perfect for each other. I loved the build up in their relationship. The push and pull it took for them to finally see what they could be. What they were for each other.
There was so much in the past that was unsaid and so much to be said for their future and they were going to make sure that it was said and done.
Let's talk about spice 🌶️ baby : 🌶️🌶️🌶️
This beauty has some spice to it!! If you aren't into it, skip through it!!!
If you are into it, get ready. It is some good spice!! You will not walk away disappointed!
I absolutely cannot wait to see where this storyline goes from here!!
I received a complimentary copy via the author. All opinions are my own, honest and voluntary.
