I loved the parts about the Ceol music group, Irish heritage, and I loved Alanna as the main character.

I didn't see the need for the talk about the possibility of an exorcism/a possession by a soul....that was just flat weird, and I'm glad it didn't ultimately go anywhere, but I also didn't feel like the idea was resolved.

It was just about impossible to put down, so make sure you have plenty of reading time before picking it up.
