Caught by the Sheriff: A Clean Romance

I was pleasantly surprised by this new to me author and clean secular romantic novel. It's a fun story but there's also quite a lot of suspense as Faye hides from her powerful and psychotic brother-in-law. The setting is at the North Carolina coast and the leads are a dog walker/trainer and a local sheriff. I really liked the unusual setting and the strong dashes of suspense. The romance is believable without being too smushy for my tastes, which was really enjoyable. And there's a cute bonus romance with another couple! And a bookstore.

I'll definitely be reading more by this author.
