College girl meets boy online. A killer targets girls like her. She's next on the list. The boy wants to save her. She thinks it's him. It's worse than they both think. Marlow's just a regular geeky freshman with little to no experience with girls, so when he has a semi-flirtatious chat with a cute girl online, it's almost more than his nerves can handle. Then the girl is brutally murdered. Or is she? Marlow finds himself teamed up with intelligent and savvy Sage Farrell, a girl so far out of his league he feels blinded in her presence -- literally -- damn glasses! Together, they work to find the identity of @gingerbreadman. Can they stop the killer before he strikes in more worlds than one?

Geeks and mysteries and parallel universes, oh my!
Interesting world(s), and I really like Marlowe and Sage as main characters, they work well together. Bonus points for a geeky hero (yay!). The combination of mystery, sci-fi and a bit of a romance absolutely hits the spot for me. :)
I had one minor issue at first, though: I found the change of POV a bit confusing - not that there were four character POVs, but that they changed between 1st and 3rd person, depending on whose POV it was.
All in all a very enjoyable read, the rest of the series is now on my wishlist. :)
