Girl Haven

I loved it! This was a sweet way to explore gender identity and the ways society forces expectations of gender on teens. The art was great, too, with the People of the Grass and the weird little candy babies!

Also, Junebug was my favorite. She has big Ripley from Lumberjanes and Maps Mizoguchi from Gotham Academy energy.

An easy and fast read, I like a graphic novel at this reading level that is an adventure/slice of life that addresses lgbt+ issues. (pronouns) This was a one shot with good art, and I thought the story was just ok. I think if I was a juv. then this story would be more impactful for me. Either way, glad to have visited this story!
