A fast-paced story of a few spies and an accidental thief set in Europe just before WW1. There's a subtle love interest but the story is mainly around the spies trying to get back the evidence they lost through a dangerous chain of circumstances and a murder.

I could have done without a few sideways anti-Semitic remarks.
