How Doth the Simple Spelling Bee

This is an outrageous little satire based on the intellectual snobbery of the universities in the early 1900s—showing just how foolish their little conceits were becoming. Reading this little story through with knowledge of the Woke movements at hand today, I think Wister would have been right at the forefront of the modern age and eagerly pointing out the many logical fallacies of today's college system. Sadly, this forgotten little book did NOT wake college folks up to avoiding ridiculous teachings that have no benefit in daily life, but it sure is a funny little portrayal.
