Neophilms on the run from everyone because who is the bad guy? Or should I say who is a good guy?
Ashley Wade gives us a mystery upon a mystery for In Search Of Angels. Only one person knows the answer and she is not sure when things happen to say what is a good move or not (laugh). Precognition can be a tough superpower to have.
I thought this was just going to be a straight romance (no pun intended), but Wade has created a really good mystery. Never mind the fact that everyone is keeping secrets - secrets we don't even know yet. I am not sure who the bad guys are, but no one should be trusted.
I will say that I really hope our young sidekick, Adel, is a good guy. She is precocious, funny, and powerful.
There is lots of back-story for all of the characters. It makes for a fully-thought out plan of action that gets us here, mind you here is complicated. (laugh) Wade sucks you in because you get Sophie and Lea's point of views. So you feel like you are in on the secrets that they tell. I really liked being able to hear both character's thoughts.This is not to say that I am not trying to figure out the pre-cog glimpses...laughing.
I am invested in these characters and that is what every author wants. Wade gives us action, mystery, paranormal, humor, an awesome sidekick, and romance. I cannot wait until the next book.
