I enjoyed this book immensely. I picked it up purely because I'm doing Newbery 2015 research and I noticed it was published in 2014. I ended up getting hooked in the first chapter and finished it in about one day. (Thanks for the MANY snow days, Mother Nature!) Donuts's behavior is frustrating at times but getting his point of view on his clowning around is priceless. It's actually an important read for middle school teachers I think, especially for those who work with kids in crisis. His voice is also expertly done.
