The Kindness Workbook is a class in learning to be more kind. It is composed of ninety-five exercises that will show you how to add more kindness into your everyday life. It begins by teaching you to be kinder to yourself and progresses to showing you ways to learn empathy for others as well as inspiring you to put kindness into action. Some of the exercises I liked most were the guided meditations, the techniques to reduce judgmental thoughts, and the ways proposed to apologize with care and sincerity.
I'm a visual person. I retain better when I am actually doing something towards self-care. I can't believe I was lucky enough to have this fall in my lap.
For the most part, I am happy and well-rounded. There are days though, sometimes weeks, when I spiral and am unnecessarily hard on myself. I know this. I feel this but I can't stop this.
Choosing kindness, not only to myself, but to those around me is work. Being stuck at home more often in the last few years has had a toll on things and I sometimes forget to be kind, to be ME.
This interactive workbook is exactly what I needed. Not only does it give great ideas on HOW to be kinder, it gives activities while also providing ideas that make YOU contemplate and reimagine moments in your day.
I love that there is also a section on how to nurture kindness in others. This is something we desperately need in today's society. Self-care is so important because how can we help others unless we know how to help ourselves as well.
I can't recommend this one enough. I sincerely appreciate the publisher and By the Book Virtual Book Promoters for providing me with a review copy. All opinions expressed herein are mine and mine alone.
