This is a clean, wholesome bunch of girls, ready to go out and adventure. The four of them share a friendship that is strong and good, and their family life is well portrayed, too. But they're not goody goody girls; they're tomboyish young ladies, and adventures are sure to happen.
Laura Lee Hope wrote hundreds of books for girls and coauthored books for boys with her father. Lest her ready pen lead to jeers, she employed several pen names. “Laura Lee Hope” was the one used for the Outdoor Girls and Bobbsey Twins series.
