The Third Gate

This book was really terrible. I loved the premise and was looking forward to the story but the characters felt shallow and the dialogue was not natural. The interaction between characters felt more like a daytime soap opera. I'm not familiar with Childs other works but this was not good. Like other have mentioned there are a lot of technical problems too, each minor but there are so many. The best example is pulling up a “URL page” I assumed the author meant web page or URL but URL page? You can only see that kind of thing so many times before you want to stop reading.
