Where the Mountain Meets the Moon

This is a beautifully written story following a young girl named Minli. Her family lives in a very poor village with barely enough to eat. Every day she sees her mother get more and more beat down by their poverty. Minli decides to go on a journey to see if she can make life better for her family. She will find the Old Man on the Moon and ask him how to change their fortune.

This is such a beautiful story! A magical tale filled with Chinese folklore. A must read if you like middle grade. I loved it!
