I totally enjoyed this story. It does take some time to find your way in this world as the speech and language used is a little confusing. Once you get used to the world it's difficult to put this book down.

Funny, interesting and thought provoking.

Beautifully written by a talented poet. But I honestly did not enjoy this collection. I'm a little traumatized by it.
I recognize it as art and representations of feelings and experiences ingeniously shared i poetry. I will not be the same after reading it.

5.4 stars. Really powerful and humbling. This made me evaluate my attitudes and perspective.

There are some amazing quotes and thoughts in the book. I feel conflicted about it. I appricaite the points of view presented and enjoyed hearing the stories of misfits. Sometimes it seems to present misfit's as special club that many of us don't qualify for.

Dark morbid humor. I felt guilty for laughing at parts.

These books are so relatable inspiring and touching.

Interesting book. Well researched and well written. It was so slow. I listed on audiobook otherwise I would not have finished.

oh...my...heart. This author does an excellent job at bringing historical events to the forefront. Why wasn't I taught any of this in history class? I learn so much from her stories and it awakens so much respect for the people who lived through these times.

The 2 stars represent my enjoyment not on the quality. While it was well written. I felt bummed out and angry though the book. The last few chapters have some very upsetting events I can't make peace with.

4.5 stars. I love the recipes in it.

There are some very disturbing events which include a sexual assault and there is a lot of very strong language. The behaviors are certainly not condoned but they are present and quite graphic at times

I really loved this book. I thought the story was unique and interested. I felt an emotional connection with the characters, and I felt I understood them.

I loved reading Sylvia Plath as a teen. I read the Bell Jar a long time ago, but I know that was just scratching the surface of her writings. I'm quite curious about her life.
As an adult, I'm no longer as emotional and full of angst. I do think that the writing is amazing, thoughtful, and emotional.

3.75 stars. This was very well written and had a very good plot I just didn't love the story. The first part was so sad and depressing. Although it gets better and more hopeful I still get so bummed about the plot of women during this time.
