I have a hard time with these super short novellas from Amazon. I went on a bit of a binge and am going to take a step back/break. This was certainly atmospheric but honestly kind of strange and too short for what it took on.

Very short, but ultimately I enjoyed the meet-cute then how they ran into each other later on. As the love story went on they kind of lost me, but I like reading about characters in academia.

4.5 stars. This is what I look for in my historical romances!! The next one is way longer but I'm looking forward to it.

This felt really long and the writing style made me feel kind of disconnected with the main character, especially as she got older. I still thought this was an interesting story though and this author will remain on my radar!

I thought this was pretty good! A lot of telling and not showing but it worked for me!

2.5 rounded up for the writing style and holiday/winter vibes.

This particular sister/suspense sub plot wasn't for me personally. I had a hard time connecting with this book and found it very boring but I absolutely loved the first one. I'm looking forward to the next book and looking forward to learning more about Claire.

This also gets more points because I always appreciate more feminist elements in my Christian fiction and I am happy about that. I hope in the next book we get even more pushback on how the mom in the series is handling this death bed promise + Claire in Scotland (so terrible!!).

Very sweet conclusion to this series!!

I thought this was really cute! A little insta-lovey but otherwise very cute. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

I am generally a fan of this author (Equivalent Exchange being my favorite) but this one was a whole mess. I found it incredibly difficult to root for this couple and was low key rooting for her to move on. The twists here were also incredibly frustrating to read about.

3.5 rounded up because the writing is very good.

Very cute! I'm really enjoying this author's work.

This was SO CUTE.

This was really nice and sweet!

This one just didn't work for me. The hero wasn't for me.

Yet another good KU read and listen find. A great grumpy sunshine book with just the right amount of angst for me

I finished this the morning my family and I are about to become official members of our local Lutheran church so good timing! My church was doing a Bible study from this author (another one) so I decided to check this out bc it's available on KU.

I thought this was so encouraging!! A good reminder of Gods promises and instructions. The instructions part was never shame-y and the author redirected us to Christ often. Overall I would recommend.

This was really good!! Very uplifting.

The timing of me picking up this book was too perfect. I'm an attorney who just quit my job to be a SAHM for a little while. This book 100% worked for me and so did the writing. Really good.

I bought the first one before I knew they were on audible plus so I'm reading these out of order! My subscription ends tomorrow haha

3.5.

Definitely not my favorite but not horrible either. I like this little town

This was definitely interesting and I don't think it was as bad as everyone makes it out. It tackled good conversations regarding parenthood in general not just motherhood.

3.5 stars!

2.5 stars. The short chapters made it a good airplane book but the plot was weird. Recommend reading fast so you don't have time to overthink this one

Like the other book i read from this author, this had a TON of world building and it took a long time to get to the action. But it was interesting and overall fine for a fantasy. I'll be reading the second one at least just to try it!

Gorgeous cover. Great writing. But overall anti climatic. More of a general fiction than thriller or horror.
