This is a fun little book that makes you feel like your in the Percy Jackson world. The guide books seems to be ‘given' to us right after the events in the first book of the Percy Jackson series. I think there is a lot of tie ins with the show, mainly the imagery. I may be a little confused about how persephone and Dionysus are connected. this is the first time I've heard of her being his mom. I mainly know Persephone to sometimes be Zeus's daughter. I know of one story where Zeus disguises himself as Hades and sleeps with Persephone resulting in Zagreus (although their is some connection between Zag and Dionysus mainly because of a rebirth aspect they share). Other than my own confusion on that, this book was really fun.
This is a pretty good hades and persephone retelling. It has smut that's a little kinky but it could have been more in my opinion (Dark Romance has ruined me). I listened to the audio book for the majority of this read and I was not expecting 1. two voice actors (one for each pov) and 2. that they'd both be British (the guy does an Irish accent for two of the characters when they speak). The male voice actors voice is dreamy as all fuck. Also pretty sure both bisexual and I love some bi rep.
I am gonna be honest and say this is my least favorite of the Grady Hendrix books. I don't think its a bad book mind you but a lot of the story seemed to drag on and I found myself bored. However the description were amazingly gross for example a girl vomiting up a giant worm, omg so much gross detail. I initially started this book physical but switched to Audio so that may have affected my experience too. I had a lot of readers block and waiting to get the audiobook from Libby so it's taken me a while to finish. However I still love Grady Hendrix and his books and can't wait to get into the next one.
Excellence!
Another good one. I love the tie ins with the previous novellas in this series. The reveal of the boys seemed to be the least dramatic of the series but still good. Definitely a lot of focus on the fmc learning what she wanted in life and these sweet boys convincing her to take. Lots of spicy scenes in a very short but sweet novella.
Spoilers
This book is marketed as teenage fbi profilers or at least that's how it was presented to me. We focus on our main character Cassie and her abilities to profile with slight glimpses at the other teens. We get an almost stereotypical love triangle between Cassie and the only two male teens. I felt we focused on that way more than the main case in this story. The big twists seemed a little lack luster. Cassie's Mom is probably the first victim wait no her aunt is a jealous killer that kills because she didn't get to kill her sister. I felt like I missed the subtle drops of evidence that Lock was the killer. However I do think this story has an interesting premise. I would have like maybe multiple povs. I am unsure if I am going to continue this series or not.

Love it
The end to the masked men series. I have loved this series and am sad it has come to an end. This Easter themed novella was fun. I think this is the first book where I didn't hate the fmc issue with her weight. I think it was partly her owning that shit and the mmc's hyping her up and loving her body. Its also the first time I've seen a fmc have a similar thought pattern to me when I am having trouble with my own body issues.
Okay.
So I am gonna get straight to the point but how the age gap is presented in this book kinda makes it feel icky. Yes they state four years ago it would have gross and wrong but how often its brought up kinda compounds the ick. Now everyone is an adult in the book and the boys never did anything predatory which makes it slightly better but I was kinda fighting the ick every time it got brought up again. The only other issue I personally had with this book is fmc bringing up her issues with her own weight. I personally don't like it. I don't mind if its brought up once or twice but in this book it feels like its every conversation. Now I love the men telling her she's beautiful and sexy but in such a short book/novella I don't want to feel like fmc is bringing up her struggles in every conversation. Now I did like the spicy scenes I think they were fun could have been a little more spicy in my opinion. Now spoiler I wish the later chapters didn't have the family showing up and interrupting, I personally probably would have saved that for the final chapter but to each their own. Overall an okay novella.
Another book that's a gift from my friend Dustin. Anyway not a bad book but I kinda of was thrown off by one of the characters talk of her weight and how often it was brought up. I mean it's probably affecting me more because I struggle with my own weight but other than that it was good. It was also fun to see different worlds with in this book as well.
This book was so weird. Like maybe I am not smart enough for it or something but like what??!! They were dead the whole time?! Her being haunted but was actually haunting another family is supposed to be hell. Like I haven't read The Divine Comedy but I get the basics of it - hell, purgatory, and then heaven. This book didn't feel like that. It was strange. I thought maybe this book would be a kinda cute maybe dark romance with an ex con and it really wasn't that.
Amazing
The Reynolds Brother captured my heart and I wouldn't have it any other was. Our Mister Dr.Reid type Ranger was the prefect end to the brothers tale. I loved the romance between Sydney and Ranger and loved all the lil Reid quotes we got. I think I learned a fact or two while reading this one.
Truly Amazing. It was so interesting to read how horror was shaped as well as what was going on in the world from satanic panic to the rise of AIDs/HIV. The covers threw out are all so unique and interesting (so many skeletons and naked Ladies). This book is definitely the type of book you'd see on a coffee table and randomly pick up one day to find out just so much interesting information.
