This is full of short stories with the characters of Overwatch. The art I think looks fine, I was kind of hoping for something a little bit more. When I look at the art book and even some of the sprays in the game, I was hoping for a more defined style for this book. There's not much canon or story in Overwatch yet, so don't expect too much story-wise. This is fun, if you are a fan of the game then I would recommend this book. ~Ashley

I've been wondering what will happen with the DC and Watchmen universes...are they colliding? Will they ever meet? I love all the DC universes and I'm wondering if they could ever collide with completely other stories and make different universes? BUT if you expect to find some solid answers in this..don't! Nothing really happens, this seems more of a strong Batman/Flash title that doesn't really solve any mysteries with the button yet. The story was good and the illustrations were also very nice. ~Ashley

[They go back to Flashpoint universe which is one of my favorites! I also had no idea that Jay wasn't in the rebirth universe! I'm wondering what happened to the other Justice Society members and if he will come again into play with another story. (hide spoiler)]

Did you ever play with your mom's make-up or clothes as a kid? Or even wearing dad's shoes? I would with my mom's perfumes and jewelry. This book beautifully captures that moment, that feeling, the pride, and that imagination that comes with it. Really has some beautiful illustrations.

I highly recommend this book ~Ashley

I would recommend the abridged audio book, I would not suggest listening to it in the car necessarily because mine came with a small book packet to follow along in certain chapters. I listened in the car so I missed out on the packet. This book has some very practical and sound advice that everyone should really be thinking about. I really liked the synergy chapter and sharpening the saw! I do recommend this book, I see why it's so popular. I think this would be a fantastic first self-help book if you haven't read one before! ~Ashley

The 7 Habits are...
Be proactive
Begin with the end in mind
Put first things first
Think win-win
Seek first to understand, then to be understood
Synergize

A girl finds one of her dead relatives notebooks to treasure their departure is surprised when drawing her from her favorite anime, a character came to life! This is actually a coming of age story about making friends and also literally making friends! She has to navigate her school life hoping to relies on the friends she has drawn for herself. When her “best friend” starts to gain some real depth and starts to think about her life, past, and future then things start to get tricky.

This was a fun read, art is really cute and color palette is lovely. While I enjoyed the story, it didn't carry enough weight when you through the fantasy element in to the story. All of my questions were drawing/life/what-ifs instead of actually caring about the character.

check this out for yourself!

A small boy who is thinking of his deceased grandfather drifts off to sleep and has an adventure.
Some nice illustrations, I love when kids get to go into a dreamland and explore themselves or memories of a loved one. ~Ashley

This is really cute, the art is cute, the story is cute, the characters are cute. This is a really chill and fun read. What if the music scene had a secret organization looking out for them? This kinda explores this idea. Nothing too serious, just a fun read with some really nice art and characters!

The colors in this book are bright, bold, and the illustrations are darling! A small girl has a school project to show where she is from...although they moved when she was a baby so she doesn't remember! She must to talk to family, neighbors, and friends to see what they remember about the island. A combination of much love, terror, and disaster make for a really interesting book and scenes from the interpretation of the child. Really interesting book, would probably make a good talking piece for kids.

I'm a fan of The Adventure Zone, I'm working on the podcast and I really really love the animated creations/art/cosplay that the fans have made. Honestly, seeing these fan creations is one of the reasons for checking it out (besides the whole d&d aspect <3) I feel like this graphic novel was crafted the best it could be with the material it was given. Definitely give the podcast a try!

I took a star off because I'm not sure how easily someone completely new to the series would enjoy it and follow along? I'm decently new to the series, but still read the lines as the characters voices. I think it's still really fun to read. The art is fantastic and I love how they included the Dungeon Master and character interactions, kinda takes me back to the Dungeons and Dragons animated cartoon from the 80's.

Really fun and fantastic! I recommend highly! ~Ashley

Woof! I love this so much! This has some fantastic art style, fun story, and a world that is interesting. There is someone that is stealing magic and has the ability to turn others into regular humans. They have to solve the mystery and get Chet's centaur butt back!
I am super interested in the world building and I already see a Vol. 2 coming soon! I'd like to know if there is a monster tension thing going on, and how do regular humans play a role in the world? I hope they keep more focus on main characters, there is a lot of history there and I would like to know more about their friendships and her girlfriend.

Super great! If you like monsters in a cute friendly style this is for you. Another creepy cute art style book you might also enjoy is Taproot

I'm glad I read this in the summer, the peach/yellow illustrations give it a warm vibe and is really a perfect short summer read! The drama in this book is coming of age types of issues, where friendships can be strained as both people are trying to find themselves a little bit more.

If you enjoy Raina Telgemeier this is a type of book I would recommend trying out!

This volume has a few shorter stories that are a bit cute and then a longer story that showcases Batgirl and Nightwing's relationship and past. [ok, the pet story was cute and all...BUT when Catwoman tells them that her cat is the equivalent of Instagram famous wouldn't that give away her identity? All you would have to do is get batgirl to hack into that social media and get the profile information? I'm overthinking it, it was just suppose to be a cute one shot story. (hide spoiler)]

There has been some character tension between Batgirl and Nightwing for a while, I liked that they brought a mystery in that they both had worked on in the past and had some flash backs that helped build the story and relationship. I wish the flash backs were done a little more smoothly, I could always tell because of the costumes which time they we're in, otherwise took me a sec.

Very nice art, I'm looking forward to the next volume. ~Ashley

Here are the things I definitely love about this book; I love the soft art style, color palette, and the thought that went into developing a story with a message. I enjoyed reading this book, it's got a bit more meat than Princess Princess Ever After but it didn't interest me enough like The Tea Dragon Society did.

If you like cute stories and good art, i'd def. recommend this. ~Ashley

I'm still hoping for more character development, but I hear this comic continues (and started) online and has many more chapters. I want to learn maybe more about Allison's past? Maybe what her college life was like and compare that to what she's going through now. I feel there was a little more fun in this, especially with the drinking musical! The story is still a bit muddled to me, but starting to come together a bit more. I was impressed with the art and creativity in the last volume and this volume really wow-ed me! The Illustrations are fantastic! ~Ashley

Still and excellent and strong title. Seems like they are exploring characters and creating bonds preparing for future volumes! A solid and strong follow up to the first book, I didn't enjoy it as much the first BUT I feel like there are some really good things to come. I really love the art style and am looking forward to future volumes.

A story full of heart about a selfish rabbit doll, who accidentally finds himself a journey away from the home. This story is unique you don't always read about a child's toy that is vain and egotistical, but then also has enormous and very sincere character development.

Reads like a fairy tale about a redemption of a selfish and beautiful rabbit.

This book is super nostalgic to me. I read the Archie Sonic comic series for a VERY long time until I was old enough to have to pay for it myself, then unfortunately had to be cut from my budget. AND I was one of those Deviantart kids that followed chibi-jen-hen So, I was on the floor when I saw her original characters in the background of this book! This was a blast from the past and it was a trip for me.

Anyway, This book was actually really fun, great pacing, solid understanding of the characters, and the art work in each issue was amazing! All the characters felt dynamic and art-style flowed really well. I'm wondering if they will include any ARCHIE lore or other characters from that comic series? They mention the resistance and I really hope they include the ARCHIE characters from those issues.

I think this series is really promising and has a lot of potential in future issues! ~Ashley

p.s. I also have had several hedgehogs! I got my first hedgehog, Hannah, in 2nd grade!

Atticus is an Legend for a reason (besides handsome Gregory Peck who portrayed him in the movie) this book is a classic. The pacing and characterization is incredible where you learn about your surroundings and characters as you read. This is where Harper Lee's “Parent” book Go Set a Watchman failed.

The book is written through the perspective of Scout and the writing is so clear it is almost like you are there or experiencing a memory. It is heavily character driven and thought provoking. Strongly recommended reading.

I still love the art and characters...but it doesn't have Ms. Marvel in it for about half of the volume? It didn't quite feel the same without her, I'm glad to see the other characters shine a bit though. I was hoping to see Kamala on her own? Instead, she gets promptly put back in. It's still a good volume..and oh! hey! Bruno is back!

Take a journey with Janie, a defiant and curious protagonist through her life.
Some of the dialect can be difficult to read and is easier to read some passages out loud.
