I enjoyed this sequel. I honestly hate so many characters in this series.

Lia, Rafe, & Pauline are the only ones I truly care about and am hoping survives this series.

Kaden... honestly hate the guy..

Hope that certain characters die in the next book.

I definitely loved this volume more than the first. I am starting to honestly get attached to the characters and to better understand this world.

The art is freaking spectacular. The world building and overall details of this world are so complex and intricate it blows my mind.

I can't wait to see what happens next in volume 3.

Of course I loved this book, just like I knew I would. I absolutely adored the first book, Crown of Feathers, when I read it last year, so I had high hopes for this installment in the series.

Veronyka and Xephyra are amazing! I absolutely adore them! I also wholly ship Tristan & Veronyka and Rex & Xephyra!!! I will go down with this ship, I swear it.

I enjoyed Sev's story line in this book as a whole, though at times I found myself bored with his chapters (I think that is only because his chapters involved a lot of waiting around). I love how far his character has come since we first met him in Crown of Feathers. Also... him & Kade are so adorable together.

Val... or Avalkyra is a freaking psychopath, & she needs to be stopped.

I can't wait for the third and final installment in this series. Though.. I do have a bad feeling that Nicki Pau Preto is going to break my heart and stomp on it until there is nothing left.

Yet again, another book I really enjoyed. Unfortunately it was just missing something, so I couldn't give it a full five stars.

Ciara was an interesting character. I wasn't a big fan of the insta-love though.

Wow... I really loved this. I absolutely love scifi featuring artificial intelligence, so of course I was going to like this. I mean... I adore the TV show Westworld (it's my all time favorite show), I freaking love AIDAN for cripes sake LMAO (he's from the Illuminae Files, go check it out if you haven't).

Although... I am usually sympathetic towards AI's.. this was different. I kind of want them all to die. Like in Westworld, I am rooting for Dolores to succeed, cause I don't give A.F. about the humans. But, in this story, I have found myself firmly on the side of the humans.

I thought Crier's and Ayla's relationship was cute, but in the end I only really care about Ayla. I felt so frickin' bad for her throughout the entirety of this book. I think I didn't bond (or really care about) Crier because she was really stupid throughout a lot of this book. She claimed she cared about the humans, but how could she if she was shocked or surprised when she found out how they were truly being treated by her peoples hands? Yeah... okay.

I honestly don't give a shit about Storme... and honestly wish he would've really been dead.. ugh. Hate that guy.... also, Rowan's death did nothing for me.. I mean I felt bad for Ayla, but that's it. We barely got to know her to have any sort of feelings about her. & finally, I am sad to say that I don't like Benji either. He felt very flat & was more annoying than anything else. I really wish that the author hadn't made Benji a character who was pining after Ayla (a girl he knows (he said as much) he'll never have). If the author had just wrote him as Ayla's friend and nothing more, I think I would've liked him more.

I honestly enjoyed this. I am eager to pick up the next volume in this graphic novel series.

I really enjoyed this. I especially loved the ending. Even though I knew that this was a villains origin story, I couldn't help but root for the villains to succeed.

I really loved Kang (even after finishing the book.. )

Wow... I really loved this. This was a great take on Global Warming issues!

It was so short but in that short amount of pages, it managed to pack in a pretty deep message.

I freaking love Valla, the main character. She's more of a... well, I don't know what she is, but she is definitely not a “hero”. But, she's definitely not a “villain” either.

This graphic novel was a little paranormal, gothic, past and future, & science fiction all rolled into one. I was legit grinning ear-to-ear for Valla & every time she murdered or destroyed something (of which you'll know what I am talking about when you read this).

I enjoyed this. It was definitely a fast read.

I had an issue with how characters behaved towards the end of the book... but other than that, it was an interesting read.

I really liked the main character and how much she adored her craft. I felt her joy when she worked on curatives!

I'm glad I finally read this. I know I've tried to read this in the past, mostly because the beginning is a little... boring maybe? slow? I don't know what it is, but it definitely didn't keep my interest.

But after pushing myself past the first 50 - 100 pages, I started to really get interested.

I really liked the surprises, the twists and turns. Amanda Foody did a great job creating this world.

Honestly, my favorite part was definitely the ending! It made me laugh and cry and feel so good inside!

I enjoyed this, definitely not as much as the first book (Sky in the Deep) though.

I really liked this installment in the Defenders series. I am honestly really sad to know that it's been canceled. I really love Brian Michael Bendis's interpretation of the Heroes For Hire crew.

The art was incredible as always!

Not bad. I actually enjoyed this.

I picked this up... cause I was craving something post-apocalyptic, & after reading the tag line and the first few pages, I decided to read it.

I definitely enjoyed the representation in this book. I'm pretty sure the main character, Clover Martinez is asexual, & since I identify as such, it was refreshing to see my sexuality on page. There was also Race and other LGBTQ+ representation, so that was great.

The aliens were interesting, they were definitely unique. I also liked the found family aspect.

I enjoyed this book. The story was interesting. I am definitely going to continue this series.

My one problem with this book, is that the love interest kept switching. Though, to me anyways, it was obvious since the beginning of the book who our main character would end up with. Other than that, I had a good time reading this book.

After years and years of trying to get into this book, I finally finished it.

I actually liked this a little bit more this time too (that's why I bumped it up a star). I can't believe I found myself excited to continue reading this book each time I went to pick it up.

A lot of this is different from the movie... & I mean A LOT. I had tried to read this book many times before I decided to go watch the movie (I was kind of hoping the movie would get me interested in reading this book). The movie was just god awful & it nearly solidified my decision to unhaul this series and never pick it up again. BUT... I kept hearing how amazing the Infernal Devices is.. How great the Dark Artifices is.. & all the hype over Chain of Gold, that I just had to push myself one last time. (It also helps that I sunk a lot of money into this series, I own the whole Mortal Instruments series, the Infernal Devices trilogy, The Bane Chronicles, The Dark Artifices trilogy and now I have many editions of Chain of Gold ordered (mostly due to FOMO lol)).

I am so very thankful that I ended up enjoying this book & am interested in continuing it.

Well, this was a really great end to this companion trilogy. I enjoyed our “new” main characters. I've always enjoyed Safire from the previous books, so it was great to get her point of view.

I do have to admit that Asha, Torwin, & Kozu were my favorites still. I absolutely adore Asha, and I always will.

I liked how I didn't guess the major reveals until just before they were revealed. I enjoyed how this book kept things interesting, but still believable (not outrageous).

The romance (of course there was a romance! Not a spoiler) was enjoyable. I was happy for them.

Overall, I really enjoyed this whole companion trilogy. I highly recommend it!

Ehhh it was okay. There's no character depth, so that really sucked. It was pretty cheesy too.

Yet again.. extremely cheesy. Pretty flat characters. I skim read a lot of this book. I even skipped whole chapters to try to finish this faster cause all the characters are horrible.

The male love interest borders on abusive & the female main character is freaking dumb as hell.

I think the over all idea behind this series (and all the books Meg has written set in this world) is extremely interesting. I think that's why I finished this series.

I didn't hate it. I liked the way this ended. The series is pretty predictable, but other than that it's okay. It's a quick read.

This series is pretty consistent. It's pretty good if you like reverse harems. Not bad.

So, if I am reading this right, is Laura (Persephone) going to have to die to kill the Great Darkness? If so, then I'll be pretty pissed off and this series will have been a big waste of time.

Also.. Everyone was basically saying how bad Laura is, how she makes things worse & when she decides to back off & stay out of their way.. they get angry at her? Like wtf!
