Loved this, another fantastic micro story, and free too.

This was well written and some interesting characters but it just didn't work for me sadly.

Another really good romp. Fun weird plot and I love the way the Stranger Times team seems to be expanding too.

Some new wonderful characters a great plot - completely batty - and excellent fun to read.

A great twisting tale with wonderful characters, you just have to love Hannah and Banecroft and their relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

A great adventure with good characters and a big plot makes a really fun read but for me was let downba bit by the ending. Many will be perfectly happy with it, but I felt it was a bit of a cop out.

If you like romance with a tiny bit of time travel and mystery you'll probably love this, but for me it was just too romancy and a bit silly. Older man younger woman, reclusive curt and quite rude but younger woman adores him, sorry tried and failed for me.

Very short, didn't really add much to the Day Zero story other than seeing it form another angle and I'd imagine that it gets poor reviews due to the ending, but I enojyed it.

This is the equivalent of a high budget summer blockbuster film. Its not high concept or very detailed as to why the aliens are here, but it is a great fun read with an ending that I thought set up a sequel that never arrived and isnt likely to now after all these years. Very enjoyable.

This was hard work and probably a lot of that was my fault, or possibly age. The premise is great, I loved the really weird aliens, the story and the characters and the nob stop game reviews, but really struggled with the plot. Maybe my memory is getting worse, but I kept getting a bit confused as to what was happening and why. It seemed that some sections wern't really fleshed out enough to help you keep up.

For once Leon gets to cause mayhem instead of Max

Really enjoyable ST adventure. more like an episode with proper dilemmas and morals from the ST universe. The only thing that let it down for me was the militarisation of some of the scenes. I may be wrong, but I can't remember ST commandos or them having hardcore military types in the series and it always seemed to be normal people having to fight (and die if you were a red shirt obviously who could definitely have done with more training!)

I really enjoyed this Star Trek adventure. Not action packed and plenty of slowly developing plot points and was more like a TV episode than many of the ST books I've read. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I've enjoyed this series and the characters and world they are set in but found this installment the least fun.  The first half was a bit slow and for older readers like me who find it hard to recall all the plots and goings on in the 7 previous books felt there wasn't enough handy recaps for us, especially with it being mainly setting the second half if rhe book up.  The second half came to life though and was enjoyablr, but I'd give this more 3.5 than 4 but didn't want to be mean!

This was more like a proper episode with 3 storylines running. All quite well done and an enjoyable TNG story.

A book that both captivated me and baffled me a bit. Its an enjoyable read but not a lot happens for the first half of the book and even after that it's slow and not your average space adventure. Despite this its really quite enjoyable and engrossing.  I liked the characters and their back stories and the fact this is more a story about a crew working day to day than a story with betrayals and stupid plot twists.

It took me a while to get into this book and I almost gave up at one stage. Its long but got better as it went on and overall I enjoyed it and would read book 2. Just hope thats a bit shorter...

I was really looking forward to this book but have to say overall it wasn't as good as expected but was an ok read.  it a the usual global threat by and large dealt with by the Americans, with a few UN references.

Interesting little story.

It was probably a mistake to have read Terry Pratchett's Hogather immediately prior to this as DEATH, in my view is perfect in that book.

I didn't enjoy the start much as I felt it lacked something- though not sure what - but it grew on me in the middle and I quite enjoyed it in the end, but felt the ending was a bit to vague as well.

A very enjoyable holiday romp for Max and Leon straight into an Agatha Christie country manor in complete with the requisite set of suspects for the inevitable murder that happens and naturally almost gets pinned on Leon.  Always look forward toy Christmas day book from Jodi Taylor and they never disappoint.

Very enjoyable story, some great laughs as well as the usual Preacher social and society comments

A very good debut novel with a really interesting and gripping premise which, for me, was let down a bit by the characters behaving like they were Americans from now centuries distant. Setting this aside I really enjoyed the book but the conclusion could have been more satisfying if there isn't a follow up.

This is a great book of the Christmas episode and a great introduction for David Tennants Doctor.  Well written, funny, poignant and very unamerican - the very best of Doctor Who.
